It's already done, but I just found this forum recently. So, here's my bike.
I chopped the neck off, raked and stretched it 6 degrees and 4 inches.
I painted it black w/ deep red pearl and pin striped flames.
Had the seat upholstered to match the flames on the bike.
I built a custom chin spoiler (radiator cover).
I still have more to do for hiding the neck, but the basic idea is done.

That being said, I've shut my bike down for the winter to be RE-rebuilt.
This time I'm going all out!
I'm gonna modify the chop a little, maybe 2-3 degrees more.
Modify the seat to be a solo.
Convert to chain drive with a wide tire upgrade.
Custom fab a new rear fender and swing arm.
Build some handle bars.
Here's the big one! This comes fist, and I should be starting in a couple weeks, as soon as all my research is done. I'm gonna rebuild the engine for a turbo charger! Woo! Woo!
I have the turbo already! I plan to run between 10 and 15lbs boost which would take my horsepower from the stock 58hp to a whopping 134hp!
I'll keep you guys posted on the mods!

I would've put a picture on here, but I don't know how. So, go to my profile to see the bike, or... tell how I can put pics on here!

You need to post some pictures up ASAP as those tinny ones just won't do.

Throw them on photobucket and post links.

all I saw was a picture about the size of a match book cover....couldn't really tell what it was.......King just asked in the shout about what other mods he could do, and lo and behold, I told him a frame stretch starting at the goose neck, add about 8* and no need for raked trees....just fork extensions and damned if that isn't what you've done...good job....that Turbo might just make your shit go KA-BOOM....way to much for a V-Twin that's designed/engineered for low end and torque....She's gonna blow Scottie, she's gonna blow.

Thanks (about the rake and stretch)! It actually didn't extend my forks. I moved the neck down and out! It worked like a dream! I'm glad I did it!
About the turbo, I'm here for support, not discouragement -I get that every where else!

Exactly how I feel, man!
Everyone doubted me when I said I was gonna chop my bike, but when it was done, they all wanted help on their bikes.
I'm way stoked about the project! I know very well that it could blow to pieces, but that's the risk I'm taking.
Thanks for your support, brother!

hey,i dont suppose you know of a way to mount a bullet style headlight on an 85 1100 without having to use a later model bottom triple tree do you ?

I`m not real sure how your bottom tree is but there should be some holes in it from the factory. The bullet uses a single bolt to mount. You just have to look at what you have and fab a bracket to fit yours.

What about getting some a/m headlight brackets,a piece of aluminum, drill both ends and a hole in the center and mount the h/l?

i finally found a way to do it.a guy on ebay makes custom aluminum brackets.the one i ordered will be a 1" bar that mounts to the end of the ears.i allso found a perfect bullet style try bar headlight to mount underneath.for the last 2 days after work,i have been cleaning up alot of the wiring that was in the factory headlight.tonight i was relocating the junction box that was inbetween the horns and ran out of butt connectors.i'll finish that up tomorrow night.when i get done, the front end is going to look 10 times better.after that,i'll be getting some better looking blinkers for the front and put some nice ones on the back as well.and then,i think i'm done labouring on this bitch.i really like my bike.i actually like it alot better than a later model.anyway,i'm looking forward to seeing the end result.and thanks for the compliments on the bike.hell i've been workin on something on the bike ever since i got it back in june lol, whether it be polishing of moddin and still was able to put 8k on it up until now that the rain has started again.peace bro's
