looking to extend my front forks. 85 shadow 1100, any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Check with Billski on the Dark side.He makes them for the spirit.If he can get a jig easliy Im sure he'd help you out.He does great work.

I am currently riding a 99 spirit 1100. I extended my forks with a set of tubes from a V65 Magna, got almost 4 inches. That might be the way to go for you.

forks by frank can get you lowers any length you want and there resonably priced.

I took your advice and I found a pair of forks from a V65 that match the same diameter as the 85 1100 spirit I ride. Did you have to change anything other than the tubes and springs? Thanx, I'm still waiting for them to be shipped but I would like to be ready when they arrive. I hope I get the same extention you got out of your conversion, it looks great!:jamming:

did you have any issues with mounting the calipers and wheel?
i have the same year and model as railcruiser, but, your bike has a single caliper in front?
ours have 2 calipers, any feedback?:huh:
