There's a BIG difference between a couple of old buds giving each other a hard time, and some little barky shit coming in and pissin' everybody off. As someone else mentioned, respect isn't a given, it has to be earned. The "Old Guard" (and even some noobs) here have certainly earned mine, but some of these monosyllabic little yappers stop in and do nuthin' but raise the ire of everyone around here that actually gives a shit. Yes, in my opinion this board is going to hell, but it's not their fault it's ours. If we fuel their fire and let them run rampant, we get what we deserve.

I, for one, am not leaving more on principal than anything else. If we let the little pricks get to us we've lowered ourselves to their level, and I'm sure most of us are above that.

I got out and worked construction and landscaping for a few years while going to school. Now I've got a degree in computer science, and I am contractor support for the US Navy.

I work a desk job and turning wrenches is how I stay sane.

Im all nerves right now as Im nearing my exit date. I know that with two kids, college will probably be the hardest thing I've done yet. Not exactly starting square one, I have 2 associates but still going to be tough.
