Was thinking about designing a large backpatch that is reflective of our love for these awsome rides...I know about the shadowriders patches, VERY FUCKING COOL, but I am thinking something more along the lines of large, round, center back patch...I will post some paint program picks soon...thinkn maybe 10 inch round, with a bike chain border, maybe model specific...dunno yet....anyways...

good gonja tonight.:cool4:

whataya think of something like this...remember, this is a paint program quicky....:mean:...the blue is supposed to simulate a denim vest...remember, this si a quick thought, the patch will be like 10 inches round, thinknig of a drivechain border...also thought about maybe instead of having SHADOW RIDER in it, putting like crossed Katana blades n a shurukin, throwing star, somewhere. That way, if i made them, you guys with the awsome Shadow Riders patches could wear both...

care full, someon might want to check with the OutLaws MC cause that is real close to their color, if you are going to make it a big back patch. One MC just about shut down the PGR in Ok. because they are usin the same colors and have it as a back patch.

I live in Texas. Not only that, but the owners riding group at the bottom is only a space filler.but if it went that way, As an owners riding group, we wouldnt have any problem...according to THE CLUB in Texas...

They told me no rockers, no MC anywhere on it, no trouble...now,in other areas, may be a problem...but, then again, there are black and white skull and crossbones back patches all over ebay, so I cant see any trouble at all. I have 10 years as Pres of our Brotherhood, we are a non patched entity that is ONLY in NE Texas, but we dont wear patch because we aint a MC or even aimed towards bike riding...we are a family orientated Brotherhood. Anyways...

Not to be an ass Voodoo....but that smacks to close to "Flying Colors"....could land some Brothers in a world of hurt. It's hard to explain to a 1%er with a hard on for metrics, that can't hear a word your saying cause of the shit between his ears that it isn't a dis towards his MC.

You gotta be damn careful when designing a back patch, people get killed for wearing colors that are just close to those of hardcore clubs.

Naw, I aint got cable ...just designed a backpatch...did anyone read what I wrote, or is it just one person have an opinion and then everyone agree??

GUYS- the owners riding group at the bottom is a PLACE HOLDER...

As a Officer in a recognized Brotherhood Club, I CANT be in another club, ESPECIALLY a back patched club. This patch design is for a back patch, and the colors are not club colors.

From the INTERNET...

The OUTLAW MC are Black and White - if there was a white border around it, then there MIGHT be trouble...

THE BANDIDOS MC are Red and Gold- there is NOTHING on this drawing for lack of a better word that they would have trouble with...

The HA are REDand WHITE, there isnt any red touching white, here, so I would assume thaat there isnt a problem...BUT...since this isnt a CLUB by ANY MEANS, then the person wearing the patch would have to be smart enuff to wear it .

I am NOT trying to start a club, I have my colours on me ALL THE TIME, we wear tats to make sure that the Red n Gold are not upset, plus they know me and us and it is cool for the 7 Sons- like I said we are a non club...we are a Brotherhood, and I am the only one that happens to ride a bike.

I have been in a club when I lived in KCMO. I prospected 2 years to earn my colors. When our President dies, then our SA and Treasurer were both diagnosed with cancer and then the SA, Stinky, Died, we disbanded the club. RIP Gurus MC. After that, I moved home to Texasand we started the Brotherhood I am Pres of now.

I have earned, through Prospecting and living the life, the knowledge I need to be in the Brotherhood I am in. I designed this patch with all this in mind - this sint a new thing to me, and I am sure , because of the responces posted already, that there are other Brothers in patches that frequent this forum. To you guys, please note that this patch isnt a club patch, nor am I interested in starting one.

Funny how I posted 4 times trying to get a lil help about my bike, but this is the thread that takes off like wild fire.

NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE HERE, k guys?

Just wanted to make a design.

Clearly, you are the one who is not reading what we are telling you. If your patch looks too much like that of an outlaw biker "club" you will first be told to remove it, if you do not remove it, there will be further action taken. I worked in a prison for six years, and saw more than one body with a "patch" tattoo removed from it.
I for one would never wear any kind of patch anyway, just passing along a little friendly advice.

Fellas, yall are really making this something it just aint...REREAD what you think I said...I am not starting a club, nor are the 'colors" I used in conjunction with any outlaw club.- look on ebay- they sell large back patches ALL DAY LONG...

NOW- here in North east Texas, where I am, the only clubs you need permission from are the Bandidos. But-

As this isnt a club, and there arent any other people wearing it like it is a club, nor pretending to be club, there isnt a problem.

I PURPOSEFULLY chose these colors in the design because they are the SAME colors that have been used on the Free Rider No Club patches with the wolf's head that they sell on Ebay. LOOK IT UP.

Why are we arguing about this, when in fact nothing has been made, and this was all an idea in the first place?? I designed it because I dont wear anything on my back now, and have been looking for a patch, but dont want one that everyone and their mother has...those free rider /no club patches are played out- every fuckin yuppie wears one around here.

Now- if I were to have some made, I would assume that before anyone bought one, they would be sure it is ok to wear in their area...if not, then you are a fucking dipshit who deserves whatever you get, true?

This is just a PATCH...but if you look, I changed the design to read IFFI - independent Forever, Forever Independent...meaning that the wearer isnt in a club, isnt trying to be in a club, and rides a shadow motorcycle. I was thinking about adding the red honda wing somewhere, but I dont know where exactly, any ideas?

and BTW- I am listening to you guys Apache, it just seems like this discussion has taken a turn down Outlaw or not alley, and it never should have. I didnt make it go down this road, but since it did, now I am forced to explain my self. I dont want to argue with yall, but please read my posts and see that this is just a PATCH. NOT A CLUB.

K?

I dont think you are being an ass man, you are now and have always been straight with folks, and I appreciate your words. I agree with e statement about the 1%er with a hardon for metrics, run into stuff like that at rallys and such, but all in all, at least here, they kid ya a bit and let it go...worst I got was sme rice in the seat and under the tail pipes! But, I dont know how things are elsewhere, and I dont claim too. If this patch would be a problem somewhere, I would leave that up to the person buying the patch to figure out. I cant make a man look into things, ya know?

Thanks for chiming in guys I appreciate the feedback, honest.

I think it looks Bichin, I just wouldn't wear it, not out of fear of a confrontation, but because I just don't wear that kind of stuff.
There's a guy where I work who rides a slightly customized Suzuki Cruiser, and he wears all this hardcore biker lookin stuff, but he aint a hardcore biker, it just doesn't work, he gets made fun of a lot!

THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION, keep the same ( or close to it) "shadow riders" and add a skull in the back ground or even form a skull from a chooper with the wheels being the eyes and the frame being the skull? just a thought from a NOOB

I think the patch the way it is done looks really good but your idea could also look great if done right.

I think the only type of patch I would wear would be something like Guardians of the children or BACA or something similar. Otherwise, I just don't see the point if you are not in a club. To each their own though.

I have and still do every now and then, tattoo on some of the brothers from the local chapter of Outlaws. The only ones who even say anything about my metric scoot are the ones that have been recently patched in. The officers and other old hats might ask, "why don't you ride an American made motor?" To that I reply, "When I start makin Harley money, then I might ride one". They usually laugh about it, and that's the end. And when the younger guys try to get out of line with me, they are quickly put back by the senior brothers. As far as around here goes; just so long as you're not trying act like your something your not, they won't give you any real shit. They could care less what's on your jacket, just so long as you don't cross that line. I know it's different depending on where you live. True, I might catch a little more shit if I weren't the guy hooking them up with the ink. All in all, do whatever you feel is right.

I think it looks great and there are ton's of patch's on egay that look like fake 1% patch's and if it's black and white isn't gonna piss off anyone here in Texas maybe they could be made with different colors say if there's a club in your area that is black and white just check with your state COC

My original thought for our riding club patch was a large 10" back patch, I've sense changed my mind to a small frontal 4" patch. Reserving the back patch for a generic, but ornate skull patch (when I find one I dig). Anyway, I'd be interested in a small SR patch, but not necessarily a large back patch, perhaps a t-shirt though.

Speaking of patches, check out SIN MC or Strength in Numbers MC, they designed a cool patch, which always seemed to me that it would tick off a 1% eventually. Seem to be a cool group of people though.

I am working on patch designs right now, but my wife works at a tshirt printing place so getting the shirts and patches done wouldnt be the problem, the problem is , as always, getting people to say yes or no to the owners club/riding club idea. I have worn a broken patch, I WONT wear another, so the patch I am designing will reflect that and still have its own badassery...I am under the impression that a nice one piece patch with a chest piece as well will be nice and something that folks will go for. I wam working on it now...ill start a new thread later...:jamming:

Instead of a back patch, why not a decal, same design, small enough to to put on the side covers?
Would look good on your pickup back window too!

Maybe take the .net logo and bend it a bit as a shoulder to shoulder patch, or keep it straight and have it as a lower back patch (kiddny patch)
Then have letters on top or bottom "M.C."
or "Owners M.C."
S.R.O.C. = shadow rider owners club

I would try and photo shop it but cant....

Here is a dumb question. What are the rules for patches?

I read this whole post. I have searched the site and I am a NOOB. I may be a FUCKTARDNOOB but I am a soldier and I wanted to put something on my jacket to reflect my pride. As I started searching I found a pretty cool patch that has nothing to do with being a soldier but I liked it.

I ride by myself and I saw someone post something about patches attracting police attention. I also saw some rules about rockers.

So what are the rules for patches that will keep me from "hassle" no matter where I am stationed?

IMO, the Shadow patch is fine, its the known gangs that wall getcha attention....
But, I assume if theres 2 or 3 riders with the same patch, no matter what they say,. That automatically tells the Police you have a bond with other riders, and that is a threat to them.

Sounds dumb, but its my opinion...

It's the big patch in the middle of the back that gets you in trouble.:thumbsdow
A small 3 or 4 inch patch on the shoulder or tail of the jacket
or on the breast of the jacket can be the exact thing and not draw any LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) attention!

You still get to display your group pride without being tagged as a gang.
