I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President <O:p</O:p
and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a VERY BIG way. <O:p</O:p

To compensate for these increases,
our prices would have to increase by about 10%.
<O:p</O:pBut since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, <O:p</O:p
we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead. <O:p</O:p
This has really been bothering me,
since I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did.
<O:p</O:pI walked through our parking lots and found sixty
'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go.
<O:p</O:pI can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem.
<O:p</O:pThey are the ones that wanted & VOTED for change,
<O:p</O:pI gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.<O:p</O:p

I could just as well be McCain in office and what he inherited would still be the same mess. and that feel good news report, I believe is just that, "feel good" reporting....it took the country till after WWII to finally get out of the '32 crash and depression....I don't think that things are going to turn around just 'cause a few folks are still making money off of us working class heros that still have a pay check., not in these few short months at any rate....maybe in about a dozen years or so......

Just so you know I am no democrat or republican. I really don't like either party much as they both have interests I don't care for. I do, however, try to pay as much attention as possible so don't think I am an Obama supporter. I also hate the stimulus package and feel that it should have never been started. Once he was elected I knew my cigarette taxes would go up, as well as everything other tax, but I also knew that the republican party had sucked the country dry so did not matter who was elected, we were all going to take a hurting.

As to the current comment though, actually it was Bush. The stimulus plan was started well before Obama was elected. Once he was president elect he headed to Washington to help with the stimulus package plan which had already gotten built up to 500 billion without his involvement with many more additions to consider. I remember reading about it when it was started, then later when the elections started and the democratic party took over, I was hoping that they would toss it out the window but they jumped on it and added to it as well.

Because of the nature of politicians, to do what they can to make themselves and their buddies rich, the money was going to be taken and handed out no matter who was elected. Depending upon who won the election only determined a small percentage of just which buddy was given a fist full of cash.

This countries welfare plan is definitely crap and really needs to be reworked. Put a lifetime cap or something so as to avoid lifetime welfare moms and use to bulk of a refined system to helping to pay for daycare for those that need help getting a job and supporting themselves.

I am by no means a George Busch supporter! I think that with regard to national defense, he had the best of intentions, but fiscally he was a complete boob; every president in rescent history has had to introduce stimulus packages; but!, no-one can argue with the facts, a stimulus boost is fine, as long as it is no more than absolutely necessary, and is tightly constrained; clearly, both of those criteria were blatantly ignored by the current administration; 85 percent of the money that has been delegated to the states under the current stimulus package, is unaccounted for. A lot has been made of the fact that this administration has spent more money than all previous administrations combined, and I recently heard a defense from the dems which stated that inflation accounts for those inflated claims...............oh really..........well let's see them defend the FACT that brother Barrack has increased the defecit in only seven months by a greater percentage of growth than any full term administration in the history of the presidency (including those who served multiple terms!).
I too consider myself an independent; but in recent years have become extremely anti-democrat!
My point is this; we can survive a BOOB of a president, but the blatant disregard for the will of the American people, this attitude that "I am going to do what I feel is best for you, because you elected me" will not fly, it must be stopped while we still have ALL of our freedoms / jobs / rights intact.
I agree, we need change in Washington; we need to evacuate the entire fucking city of all politicians, we need to send representatives who still beleive in working FOR us (not us working for them) we need to eliminate lifetime multi million dollar sallaries and benefits for single term representatives. we need to take away the right for reps to vote for their own salaries (we should decide what they are paid!!) eliminate welfare and benefits for illegal immigrants. And above all else Barack Obama should be run out of town if for no other reason than bowing to the fucking king of Saudi Arabia!!!!!! that act alone is nothing short of Treason!!
