Take a deep breath...Breathe right into your belly...Hold it...Now exhale slowly...Think about a walk on the beach, puppies, kittens, mass confusion, bombs going off, waking up somewhere you don't remember travelling to...Wait, I think I fucked something up. That can't be relaxing. Screw it. Carry on being pissed off.

Thought I would comment on 9/11, my Uncle, in the Air Force, was also in the Pentagon, thinking of that now brings tears to my eyes, it took over 6 hours for him to get a call to go through to us so we knew he was ok.

Yeah, I think that book is (or at least should be) required reading for evey Army copter pilot; great book, the author ultimately ended up in the joint when he was busted flying drugs into the US from Columbia.
In fact, I served in the same company that guy was assigned to when he was in Nam!
A Co 1/227 AVN, Of course I was at Hood then, about twenty years after Nam ended!

I was going to inlist in the corps. Decided to go Army because of my carreer choice. I have to say though, some of the jarheads I've had the pleasure of working with have been some pretty stand up guys. They can't shoot like an army man, but they try hard... LOL !! J/K man, when it counts, we all bust our ass for the same thing..

I haven't met too many people who have read it. The training those people went through is incredible. The ops themselves are out of this world. Buy an entire furniture factory and staff it so you can plant cameras and mics in the furniture destined for the target's house? Wild stuff.
