I have poor impulse control. The first time I saw a Valkyrie my jaw dropped. The second time I was hooked. The third time the owner let me sit on it. The fourth time I had cash in my pocket. I am the proud owner of a '03 Valkyrie Standard. My wife and companion of 35 years says only one bike in the barn. So my '08 SS750C2 is for sale and so is all the stuff that won't fit on the Valk. The Valk is one incredible road machine. I rode it 330 miles back home from the seller's place. This F6 engine has some kind of power. I think that I am going to like it.

 Very nice looking bike. I really don't need to sit on one much less take one for a spin or I might end up in the same place............

Nice bike man! You might want to look into some kind of guard for the oil filter. It looks vulnerable.

Thats an impressive machine man. Didn't they stop making them a few years ago? Are you worried about finding parts or repairing it when need be? Don't want to rain on your parade, just curious.

Congrats! You'll love your new ride...we've had ours (aka Miss Violet) since 1997 and WILL NOT part with her. Incredible ride.

As far as parts, OEM, no problem, accessories - there's the rub. :thumbsdow You can still find some but a lot have went out of production since they stopped producing her in 2002 (I think). And on e-bay they will go HIGH! :stunned:

The oil filter, no worries, it takes some abuse but it's not as vulnerable as it looks. We had the Cobra cover but have switched to a K&N chrome filter with no problems whatsoever.

So does that mean you will be retiring from sr.net? Tell your wife you HAVE to keep both just to be able to hang out with the wonderful people here.
