First time poster and brand new to the site. I have a 04 1100 Sabre and love the bobber look. I will be doing all the work myself but need help finding places I can buy parts. I would need a solo seat converstion kit, shorter springs and so on. So far I have not found anything close to what I need.

Welcome to the nut house noober. Good place to find ideas etc. for your bobber is a mag called "The Horse Backstreet Choppers" Tons of shit in there as well as ads fo places that carry the stuff.
Search around on here also. Loads of stuff.
I'm sure other guys'll chime in with where they got their stuff as well.

I appreciate all the help. I read The Horse and that started my love for bobbers. I found one company West-Eagle; that has dual shock solo seats and conversion kits but nothing for my Sabre.

if your looking for a KIT that will make it a solo seat bobber your not gonna find any. if you want a KIT to make it what you want you need to go buy a harley. if you want to change YOUR bike into a bobber you need to buy the parts and make them fit. do a search (button to the upper left) on BOBBER and you will find all kinds of info on how to make stuff fit.

Is that as bad as the ribbing gets? One fuck off? You all are not even trying. I expect to be picked on for being green and can take it. Anyway, I will have picks up after this weekend of each phase of my bobber conversion progress.

Well KY it's cause you came in here, introed yourself, and posted a pretty good question. You don't have pics, but you addressed that by at least saying you'll post em soon. You've covered all your Noob bases if you ask me. You came in pretty much the right way.

OK pics coming of the tank and fenders in the primer stage. Looks pretty good with the flames underneath. I am going with either a 200 rear tire or a 170 WWW being that I cannot find a 200/15 WWW. Is anyone selling a rear fender? I am looking for a 9" steel or something close to that. I have searched on this site but most of the posts are old.

I have the bike in the shop getting jetted with a K&N air filter. Also I am having WWW's put on it. 170 is the largest I could find. Oh and a smoked tail light with the Kuryakyn Iridium Coated Red Incandescent Bulb. I'll let you know if this bulb is actually worth the $17 bucks I paid for it. I think the smoked will look good since I painted the plastic crome tail light cover flat black.
It took me 4 cans of primer and 13 cans of flat black (my OCD kicking in) but I think the paint turned out nice. Stripped the turning signals, reflecters, helmet lock, stock pipes, stickers and the honda emblems. I took paint thinner to the white HONDA on my seat. I painted my can (which I am most impressed with, it makes the bike IMO). I bought 2, 2" pipes and 2 reducers from 2" to 1 1/2" from O'Reilly. I weilded the reducer to the pipes and bought clamps from Autozone (Cringe). I would like to find better clams that will not show as much but I search 5 places just to find these. The stock clamps were to big.
I found that my headlight bracket was bent worse than I thought when I bought the bike, it is now straight and so is the crome rim. I will next work on painting my forks and fab'ing my own seat. I am thinking about going with black hub spokes if anyone is selling or know where I can get them cheap.
So here are the pics. More pics coming soon.

I am torn between the black wrap or the white. I decided I am going to high heat paint the last 6" of the pipes a flat black and can always wrap over it if I want. Remember I am going to have WWW tires and a smoked tail light lens. Other than that the only plans I have for a winter project is painting my trees flat black, fabbing a seat and maybe removing the fork covers. Also looking at black hub spokes. What do you guys think, black wrap or white?

These are the pipes I bought from O'reilly's, welded them to the reducers (1-1/2" to 2") that I also got at O'reilly's. I then got the flat black High Temp. paint and cured them. The first two steps of curing (250 & 400 degrees) went ok but at the 3rd step (600 degrees) I notice that the paint was turning and cracking. I grabbed some 1000 & 2000 grit and started wet sanding. I was surprised that what I ended up with was even better than the flat black I was hoping for. It looks like black crome. Here are the pics. More pics of the bike to come.

That's where I got my seat. It was for another bike but I made it fit. Cut and grind man.

Hey NOOB, I love the horse too, BEST bike mag in my opinion, they are open to any bike. I was also going to suggest to you West Eagle to get your springer seat. However, I see you checked with them and they do not have a kit for your specific bike(they have a lot though for different bikes).
I have a seat from West Eagle on backorder, they have some cool shit.

Just order a close proximity and make it fit. If the springs are too big, I recommend chevy small block springs or search JEGS for a good fit.
