It's pushing 10:00 PM and I'm lying down reading a book trying to relax and there's a bunch of fucking morons outside shooting off fireworks.

Why does everyone think that the 4th of July is a reason to piss everyone off?

I'm pretty sure the founding fathers didn't make a bunch of noise and piss people off when they signed the declaration of independence.

Won't be long and I'm getting out the shotgun. It'll probably work a little better than yelling at people like I did last year.

Oh they pissed people off and the noise they made was heard an ocean away.

The firecrackers are going off here too. Just don't think the ones setting them off really give it more thought than just getting their pyro rocks off.

You must be getting old with people pissing you off with Crackers...
Why do you early tomorrow morning when all the crackers people are still sleeping, start up your bike and let it run for a bit. Good way to get even with everyone.
I do that when my neighbours give me the shits

You cant even buy "Firecrackers" over hear in OZ any more.

Happy 4th July to all my USA brothers. ( I have no idea what it is)

That's the only American thing you can do. In my area the 4th of July is a Season not a day of the year. Last week is when the kids started making noise but I don't give a shit. When I pass out it takes more than a few small explosions to mess up my sleep.

I watched outside as the neighbor boys threw m80's at each other. One would climb on the garden shed and lob them off into the yard. Then one would come flying over the roof back at him. I was sittin out back just watching the battle. They saw me and toned it down a bit. I guess I am the adult but I wanted to say was, "if you put those firecrackers down right this minute and share with me, I'll go tell your mom." Of course, I didn't and just let them think I disapproved.

Very funny! LOL Beaker even got in on the action!

Happy 4th everyone! I also hate morons but understand everyone wants to launch some fireworks...the only time of the year it is accepted.

We started ours at 6am at church. We always have the Flag raising with our traditional pancake breakfast. Had a little bit of history leason, my oldest daughter with the other young kids song, My Country's Flag, very good times!

We celebrated the fourth by riding (as much as I could) with the "Some Gave All" Remembrance ride through Ky. honoring fallen soldiers.
As a child I loved fireworks; personally, I have heard all the booms and pops I care to. I could go for some quiet today myself.

I'm not real big on setting off fireworks, but I love to watch them, especially with the kids. Something about "the rockets red glare and the bombs bursting in air" still gets the heart stirring. I make it a point to share some history with the daughters while watching the show. It's amazing the lack of knowledge kids these days have concerning American history. Everyone out there have a safe 4th, and Happy Birthday America!!!!!!!!!

God bless the military personel currently deployed out of country, from here and from our northern neighbors, Canada. They are the rough men and women that stand ready to do the tough jobs so that the sheeples can lay in their beds at night and get a peaceful sleep, free of nightmares and concerns for personal safety or personal liberties being usurped.

The problem with today`s kids is the fourth of July is a reason to have a picnic and let off fire works. They don`t know the true meaning of it.All kids need to know the true meaning of the holidays, like Christmas, they think it means they get gifts.
