I live in Glendale, new to bikes and looking for anyone in the area. Really I am kind of looking for a "guru" if you will, who would be willing to teach me about working on bikes. I just traded my truck for a Shadow Spirit 750 2003, and I love everything about riding.

Definately riding safe, still need a jacket and pants they are kinda pricey but should be getting a jacket next week. as far as the guru thing, do I need to be preached at. I am doing what I can to learn about bikes on my own, but I have never had any mechanical experience. So I am just afraid I am doing it wrong and am gonna screw my bike up. All I have done so far is change the oil.

Check EBAY for a jacket. There's a guy in Sedonia that has some great jackets on there. That's where I got mine and I love it. If I can find his stuff I'll post a link for ya.

Thanks a lot for the info on the jacket I am checking them out now. I know I live in Phoenix but with out a riding jacket its a bit chilly. I wear to sweaters right now, just gotta be paitent and buy the things I need little by little. Now, any good tips on winter riding gloves. I got a set of leather gloves but they are a bit bulky and puffy for lack of a better word.

I live in Glendale AZ and am always looking for people to ride with. I just bought a 98 shadow ace classic, thanks in part to some very wise and sage wisdom of the people in this area. It looks like we have joined a great site.

As soon as I figure out how to reduce the size of a picture I will post one of the new bike.
