Well I have been cross Ref parts from the Aero and the Sprit... what I have found is that the Shaft Drive Sprits and Aero share lots of parts... but there is some diffrences like the front forks are diffrent as far as how the fenders mount up the Bracket mount on a Aero is about 4 in lower... so if your looking to slap on a Fat smaller Aero Tire then your good to go if you don't want to run a fender... as far as tanks go you should be fine...
anything other parts...?

your still good on the tank... as far as front wheel I would guess so... should still be the same axel size.... the forks are not any diffrent in width just were the fenders bolt up too...

Aero has one carb so the airbox may be different.

Are aftermarket handlbars the same?
Sorry for ignorance.
they should be the same spacing on the Triple Tree... some years had the risers welded on and the newer ones have clamp risers... so if you have those any 1in bar should work... the Spirit has pull back risers.... the Aero has 2 in stubby risers...

Whenever I want to see compatibility, I open up two browser windows and go to http://www.bikebandit.com/
Click on OEM Parts
There, you can see all the parts and their numbers. I never buy anything but it's a great reference.

Be careful, for some reason Honda has numbered some identical parts for each bike differently??????? The 06 is the Spirit DC and it is very different to the Aero, the 07 C2 is very much the same bike as the Aero, very minor differences, handle bars, fork covers, headlight, front wheel and brake, and fenders.

i haven't verrified this yet [was thinging about calling the manufacturer], but it seemed when i was searching earlier that the ace and aero clutch and throttle cables where identical except for being slightly longer. i was looking for cable in lengths over stock so i could put taller bars on.
if anybody has used aero cables on a spirit, could you chime in?
i've changed my mind about using them, and decided to go with another option, but it might still be usefull to know.

Most sites, like Phat Performance, Bike Bandit, etc will have disclaimers on certain parts, stating "will not fit C2", etc. Always search by bike, if possible. The headlight mount, rear shock placement, forks, handlebars, carb(s), and airbox are definitely different between the 2.

I've always wondered if the Aero rear fender would fit my 07 C2...I like the look, but don't know if I would run in to a lot of modding or perhaps seat issues.

yes the aero fender would fit on a c2 i just put a c2 fender on my aero but you would need to use an aero seat bc the rear bolt is further back on the aero fender, and those crome fender support things on each sidebc the aero fender has 3 hols on each side instead of 2
I like the Spirit seat and would like to put one on my 04 Aero. My seat needs recovering badly so if I read correctly it would take some minor mods to do it and it needs to be 07 or later shaft drive Spirit. Any other seats that would fit with minor mods?
Disregard my last post about a seat. I just got a great deal on a stock drivers seat and pillion. They are studded and look good. $75 shipped

I have a feeling I may have gotten duped. However. Any chance Fork covers from an 01 VT750 will fit on an 03 SS750 DC? Looks like I may be buying the fork covers in the other thread if these don't fit.
