Does anyone know how important having correct stem style on a tube is?

Very!
Because if a noob puts on the wrong stem, like one off a semi tracker trailer, then it might get hung up in your chain, and cause your back wheel to lock up.

Hey "Carrot Snapper"; if you ask a coherent question, you get a coherent response!
That's the way it works around here.

Hey "Corn Hole" if you're talking about the "plunger" (which is inside the stem) it is very important, as the wrong style won't hold air; how do you know if you have the wrong one?
try this:

Does it hold air?..........
yes-then you have the right one!
no- wrong one!

now I have a very simple and coherent question for you...........................

WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR QUESTION?!

Who is monitoring this forum? Obviously we have an ignorant user who doesn't understand proper forum etiquette. If you think you're cool think again you sound like an ignorant fool but all who know how to use the Internet know this.

Peace Wilbur.

valve cores ("plunger") are universal aren't they?
i think there are a couple things the newbie might be asking......all are dumb questions.
does the stem need to be 90* or will a straight stem work?
this is dumb because, obviously a straight stem would work, it would just be a pain in the ass to get a good seal when filling it due to the short spokes and brake drum being in the way (assuming he's on an ss750 or vtx w/ spokes).
or maybe he wants to know if it can be either presta or schrader which is dumb cuz they don't make presta stems for motorcycles.

yo newbie, i'm not as bad about the hazing, so clarify your question and i'll try to answer it.

Peace Wilbur.Did you look around at all before posting? The hounds of hell monitor this forum. As for forum etiquette... what's that? We don't pretend to be nice around here. If you don't like it go to another forum where their idea of modding is adjusting the mirrors.

Hey bud no one here knows what you are talking about, as stated many times. Instead of being an Asshat, could you please rephrase or explain what you are talking about? There are many knowledgeable people on here and I am sure we can answer your questions, but we have to know what it is you are asking us.

FIRST, if I didn't know how to "use the internet" would I even be here to point out the fact that you are stupid?!
and SECOND, try really hard not to be such a pussy, for your information DR Einstein, we treat Noobs a little roughly, to weed out the hyper-sensetive pussies like yourself who feel compelled to talk about their feelings; This is not one of those homo forums that you are obviously used to, where they talk about what you wore to the last bike night run! we swear, and drink (most of us), and sometimes even spit; but we don't talk about our feelings! if you can't take it I suggest that you tie that pink sweater back around your neck and skip on back to the tennis club, and maybe seek some counceling for your bruised ego!
Several folks here have asked you to clarify your question, but you got your fragile little feelings hurt by the way we responded; I really don't think at this point that anyone gives a fuck what your original question was, you managed to isolate yourself by complaining about the treatment you received; so I am fairly certain that none of us will be heart broken if you leave.
See Ya!

If your talking about having a stem that sticks straight up, bends 45 or 90 degrees, as long as it doesn't interfere with anything else it doesn't matter. It may make it a bitch to fill up depending on which you choose and where it is.

As for the hazing, if you look around you will see it is normal. Everyone here got it, took it, and moved on. If you cant handle that you have 2 options, grow some thicker skin, or move along.
