So my brother was up in the area this weekend and I rode the 70 or so miles up to see him. Shortly after leaving him I got behind some fellow bikers from Sacramento and we got into a hellluva storm. We all pulled off under an overpass on I-15 for awhile and watched the storm pass then I rode with them till I peeled off for home. All in all a great day and nothing like a ride in foul weather and hanging out with some fellow bikers!

On our recent memorial weekend camping trip to the Texas hill country we dodged rain for most of Saturday but finally got caught when we had to return to our camp site. We rode it fairly heavy rain for about an hour. At one point when the cars were pulling over we did also, but no bridge just a couple of small trees, waiting for it to slow down so we could at least see. Not much fun but it will not be forgotten and proved to us that it can be done. My wife's first rain experience and my longest. Rainsuits are great. No pictures as we were too wet to get the camera out........

I know, but it was still fun. We had some small hail and lightning. Nothing compared to your trip though. Freakin' tornado, now that's crazy. Hey are there many good rides over Coshocton way? I've never been there, but my dad's from there and my gramps still lives there. Thought it might be cool to cruise over there sometime soon.

We usually meet some guys in Cambridge, then follow them around the area.

There is a bike show and rib fest in June. Here is there site.

Swampcroc,

That is a good description. It was definitely a baptism.

The ride over all was great. We covered 600 miles in three days. The best parts were along the devil's backbone and along the Blanco river from Blanco to Luckenbach.
