The past couple weekends have been great. 2 weekends ago I took off for a couple days and road with some buddies to Portland, Indiana. Round trip was a little over 400 miles.
We left at 8am Saturday morning, from here in Southern Ohio, and road threw some nasty rain. Junkyard was 2 bikes ahead of me, and just about lost it, as he was passing a semi. He was changing lanes to get back in front of the semi and hydro planed. He sure had an angle helping him, otherwise that semi would have ended it for him.
Then we got to Fountain City and the President of Triple B's Indian breaks down. He had to call the Patriots to have a trailer brought out. There clubhouse was about an hour away, so we just kicked back for a while and waited. Luckily it had stopped raining.
The swap meet was at their clubhouse. It was just a small one, but they had a good turn out. There was some Road Hogs from Indiana and Ohio. Some Lucky 13's from Indiana. Some Tribe from Ohio. Of course the Patriots from Indiana, and Triple B from Ohio. Everyone was pretty cool, till the 50 Barbarians came rolling in. It got a little tense then.
They had a Hog Roast as well. We didn't leave till almost 9:30 and it had gotten cold after that rain passed. I wasn't prepared for riding back so late. I thought we were only going to be there till 6pm. We ended up riding back to Richmond, Indiana and stopping at an Ihop. Then to a motel.
Next morning at 8am, it's only 39 degrees out. We road to Ihop for some breakfast, and then headed back to Ohio.
This weekend My brother in law and I, headed to Michigan to visit with our wife's grandma. The wife's left with the kids the night before, so we took our time getting up there. Round trip was about 625 miles. Of course while there my son begged me to take him for a ride.

Fridays are bad for me because of work. Honda NW Grand opening is Saturday? I just told the President of Triple B, that I would ride with them to some Hog Roast Rally in Pebbles that they are going to. I haven't even told the wife yet!

As of right now no on Hooters, but that could easily change. I've got a few mods I'm working on and if parts come in I want to get them done for Saturday.
Hope to see you Saturday, I would to check out your bike up close, looks pretty good.

All cosmetic or bolt-ons(custom striping, painting side covers, mirrors, grips, new windscreen if it ever comes in, it's something a bit different).
No biggies, just getting her pretty and doing stuff as I think of it. I'm a graphic designer with ADD, I'm always changing stuff. This is the 3rd makeover in a year.
I did some mechanicals over the winter, even then nothing big like you've done.
It's already a money pit, my wife would freak if I started choppin' it out.
Thanks for the offer, I'll keep you in mind if I have questions. I'm always harrassing phop5 and oomp on OR. :)
If you stumble on a solo seat or the radiator cowl cheap anywhere, let me know.

What side of town are you on?
Nice, looks like they are all pert easy mods. I think this is the third or forth look for my bike as well. Its a progressive thing a lil at a time until its done.

Near Sawmill, right in between Dublin and Worthington, not too far from you.
If it ain't getting customized, might as well be riding a Huffy( or a sportbike).

That is so true! Damn you are only 15 min from me. We'll def have to go riding sometime. We just have to have the weather cooperate with us here in Ohio.

Sounds good, I think I've met enough local Shadow guys that we could a decent group together if you want. There are some nice roads over by you heading north towards Plain City & Marysville.
I'm a fairly new rider, only my second year, so I ride pretty casual and safe if that might hinder you. I'm not out to to see how fast I can go, I just cruise and relax. I can't imagine that you're dragging knees on your bike though. :)

I think that would be awesome. I agree with that and many more. I have had my bike to its max, but its not that great I like to cruise and look around. I have been known to get my bike pretty far over, Ive pushed the pegs up more than once. its kinda hard with the springer on it now but it can be done.

Sounds like a plan. I think I'll start a shadow social group on OR, and we can organize a meet and ride for a few of us, and any others that may be interested. Jagr is always down to ride with the cruisers, I'm sure Phop5 and Oomp will be down if they don't have other plans. We can see who's nearby on this board as well, Big O isn't too far, he could meet us somewhere.
Are you going to Ohio Bike Week?

I may, I am not sure yet

I can't do anything this week, with the other plans I have. But hit me up before you head out. Columbus is only 44 miles from me. As long as I can get away from the wife and kids, I'll ride with you. I'm a laid back rider. Not really into fast riding. Mostly like curvy back roads were the speed limit is 55. If I want to speed, I'll take my car out for a spin.
I'm not even sure what this event is I'm going to this week. Lionheart called me yesterday and said he was taking Triple B to a run and hog roast in Pebbles, Ohio. But it's usually a good time, where ever they go.
Last summer they had an event in Plain City called Gear Feast. Lost of bands all weekend.

I think I've been to Ohio Rider a few years ago, but I can't remember. Mostly I'm on here, TSW, Chillicothe Chat, ColumbusDSM, and AstroSafari.com. I'm on too many forum boards! Then add craigslist and ebay. Plus myspace and facebook. 10 hours later I get to go to bed!

I just made an account on Ohio Riders. I tried my original user name and it said it was already taken, so I tried my normal log in stuff and it wouldn't accept it. My new user name is BiggO.
