How to get leather off the tailpipes? Took my saddlebags off and one of them started melting to the pipe! :furious2: :furious2: :furious2:

Hey Smoke, there IS a way. I remember reading about it but I don't think it was here... Did you try Google? Damn, if I didn't have Alzheimer's....

I saw that on another site and they said it wouldn't hurt the chrome.

I just went to my buddy's house to get butt connectors (not the kind that the faggot noobie Jerico uses) for the Billski. He gave me some stuff he uses called OOPS.

I've never had a booger i couldn't clean off. I use in this order:
regular chrome cleaner-- safest
wd-40 and steel wool-- very safe
oven cleaner and steel wool-- safe, but don't keep it on too long and don't sniff it. lol
not sure what's in oops, but i'd be careful, some of that crap will clean anything, but it also will clean the chrome right off.

Easy Off is amazing. Me and the guy that gave me the OOPS used Easy Off and plastic razor blades to get the old lettering off of a used Special Hazards truck that we got years ago. Spent the whole shift scraping lettering off that truck!
He said he's used the OOPS to get melted stuff off his pipes before with no adverse effects.
Here's the page from the company that makes it: http://www.homaxproducts.com/products/oops/index.html
