For you guys interested in jetting your Aero, here's a site with step by step instructions on how to do it with the DynoJet Kit.

http://webpages.charter.net/jezydel/Carb%20Mod/Carb%20Mod%20%2009.10.04.htm

Hopefully, I'll jet mine before summer :drummer:

By the way.. the K&N filter for our motorcyle is available, ($50 in CruiserCustomizing.com). I've just installed it... there's a slight increase in performance, it will be better when jetted.

If any of you guys have links for mods for the Aero, please post them... I think we are waaaaaay behind the Spirit guys in this department. :Ghost_ani

I K+N'ed mine with a 124 jet and it rocks it between 45MPH and 75MPH mostly. Does 102 now.

feTTT21 - I noticed you have the drag bars. Did you use the same length cables when you did this mod? The reason I ask is because I just swapped mine over to drag bars and the length on the throttle push/pull seem too long. Clutch too for that matter. If those are aftermarket ( not stock covered in SS ) what length did you use?

I used the stock cables when I changed to the drag bars. I had the same problem you had with the length of the cables. I covered them, and they look better now. I'm planning to change them in the future, but the $5 remedy will do for now. :sasmokin:

EXCELLENT post,

one question though, say i replace the filter with a K&N AND i do some exhaust modification. How do I know that my carb is jetted suffieciently?

I also wonder about this. I am waiting on a K&N to arrive in the mail. Right now I get some small pops on decel, though my plugs look good. I've had the pipes punched with rebar for 5000 of 6500 miles.

I know I will one day rejet but wonder if adding the K&N and NOT doing the snorkelectomy will give me an mixture that I can still work out the kinks by finally adjusting the Idle Air Mixture screw.

Ya I have 0 idea on this one, I am doing the exhaust mod this weekend... and perhaps i will be moving on the "Keller1" mod (actuall my own take off fromthat mod) later in the month. But it would be nice to get the K&N during this time as well and jet all at once.
