Has anyone ever disconected the radiator, on these hondas?I have never had my fan kick on at all [i1 year].Are they capable of running with out a cooling fan, would be nice to eliminate those fans.

if the fan never runs.........the bike isn't getting overly hot. don't add up..........every other bike on the road i an air-cooled. hondas sure look air-cooled.

The fan never kicks on cause the radiator is doing it`s job.I`m sure on a really hot day(90 plus, alot of stop and go in town)it will.I`m sure the radiator is a lil oversized for the engine size but rather have that than hear that fan kick off and on.Dirts right, they put it on there for a reason.

I read somewhere on another site where a guy hooked up a light to tell him when the fan kicked on. he was surprised as to how much it actually kicked on.

Mine came on on the first 90* day. Works good to cool the bike down momentarily.

If you would let your bike set and idle on a good hot day ,,,will it come on then? I fa that be the case i will try that the first hot day we get, just so i can see if it works alright.

I'm not sure where your coolant temp sender is located. If its at the top of the cooling circuit you might want to make sure you don't have an air pocket in the system.
