I want to buy saddlebags.....but come to find out after returning a set,i need to get a measurement on the upper pipe, from the top edge of that pipe,to the center of the axle so i know how long my new bags can be?
Therefore ..........no burning a bag.Any pics or measurements will help as .....am not sure which single pipes i want yet.:help: t hanks guys

Buy the ones with an adjustable yoke. If you get the ones that have two halves to the yoke, and lace together, you can make them ride as high as you want just by punching a set of extra holes and relacing.

Rag man-----------i have a fella thats gone by the name, ragman the last 35 years, i know him Hes done kustom and sreet rod interiors just out side Detroit.And my wife has a little stone cabin on Lake superior .just the otherside of Christmas mi.
i'm down near dundee.
Would you be so kind as to post a picture of what you have.............they sound a little far out , but i am curioyus about chrome bags,.......btw..... beautiful bike my friend.

You misunderstood, these are chrome braces that go behind the bags to keep them off the lower fender and out of the wheel etc.
Thanks for the props on the bike, but if I ever get my tins back from paint there's gonna be some new looks goin on...

Sorry about that ragman...i didn't read it close enuff. i may be interested in those brackets as i'm waiting to hear from my bags anyday now.:happy:
What are you doing? getting new fenders or what?

I agree with Ragman, I have the ones that adjust with a lace. I have moved them around a few times just to fit the mood. Sometimes I llike them a bit higher and sometimes a bit lower. Works for me.
