I hat mine.... I put them on and my left grip is perfect... but the throttle one is never in a good position. Am I the only one that thinks the ISO's look good but lack in comfort?

sk8er, got mine on last season and haven't noticed anything worse than stock, but the style def. stepped things up a bit. Describe your position problem a little more.
I remember being very particular about getting the right lined up exactly right before sealing them in 'forever'. I keyed on the solid chrome line that divides the front rubber from back and lined that up top center/matched with the right.
Only other thing I can say is that once I reach highway speed, I find my self bringing throttle hand forward a little to keep throttle open flattening out my hand reducing fatigue on a longer ride and glove just grabs the grip part better.

Just got mine on last week and only had short rides so far. They feel a hell of a lot better than stock.
There are a few of us going to Louisville Sunday about a 3 hour ride or so to hit one of the pubs up there so that will be the real test.

My issue is the groves. They are fine putting around but at highway speeds with the throttle openned up they annoy the hell out of me... I guess its an ADD-OCD thing.
The left grip feels the same and the right on changes with the throttle.

Hey Brother,What pub you goin too,I may be up for a ride sunday,Let me know and might ride down and meet up with ya guys.
The name of the place is actually "The Pub" its on 4th street right next to the Hard Rock Cafe at the Louisville Live Center. The place opens at 3pm so were leaving here around 12, that should put us there right around opening time.
We'll hang out for an hour or two then head back home. If you can come on down and anybody else that wants to meet up...come on down. We are working on our beer "passports" and The Pub is one of the stops we need to make to fill the passport requirements.
Here is a link to the site, it looks pretty cool...

any more problems with the ISO grips? I want to order some soon...

Yeah I hated mine too, even with a throttle rocker I could never find comfort on the right grip.I ended up just taking them off and put on a set of ISO flames instead.Only had them on a couple months but they are much more comfortable for me than the standard ISO's.

i have the ISO Flame grips and they are a major improvement over the factory, especially on the long ride. 150 miles Sat and 325 miles on Sunday. The only thing i think is missing is the throttle boss, they were comfortable but the long stretch on the slab would have been easier. Anybody got any input on the kury throttle bosses?

Yup have one on my ISO flame grips and it helps a lot.I don't do a ton of riding on the superslab with my little VLX but when I do it's nice to have.Plus some of the routes I take to get to some of my favorite rodes are really long and straight and helps there too.I feel it was worth the $16.

so how do ya'll get the ISO's off when you change bars? do the end caps come off to spray WD-40 in there?

I applied the shit they gave you (think it was a glue that sets) so you may be SOL if you did that too. I'd do what you first thought, remove the end caps and spray WD40 in there. Did you use the dishwashing liquid trick instead of the glue?

They are not glued on yet, i just slid them on and started thinking that i was going to get my new bars in a month or so. so do i use dishwashing liquid with a little water to get them to stick or just dishwashing by it's self.?

Ohhhh, I thought you were getting them off. I remember many, many years ago putting different grips on bicycles and using some dishwashing liquid (only, no water) on the bars, then sliding them on and letting them set. That said, I don't remember it being so easy to take them off. Had to slice them with a razor when I worked in a bike shop.
I found this: http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index.php/t-140328.html
which says to use WD40 both during install (evaporates to form tight grip) and removal. Hope this helps.

not sure bro, gotta research that one at Kurkuryn
so do the ISO's end caps come off?
Yes they do,and BTW the throttle boss will work with both the ISO's and ISO flame grips as the end cap pattern is the same.Just thought I'd throw that out there for people going from standard ISO to ISO(or vice versa) flames like I did.

i have both the iso grips and the front rear pegs to match. I have loved them. Been on for about 2 years, went on longer rides and hands did not seem to wear out as quickly, also have the iso throttle boss...love it, really comfortable, once you get it in the right position
