Nate Quarry who is sheduled to fight Bitch Franklin is an instructor from my gym . When we turned to more of a BJJ school he left to go train at team quest with Rob Follis [ another SBG instructor ]. Team Quest is trained by SBG instructors or people that trained at SBG [ Randy Cotour ] . Rob was my instructor for 2 years before I entered the ICC [ Instructor course ] and started training under Matt Thornton . Forrest Griffen is a SBG fighter . SBG instuctors are like the Jedi knights of mma .

Never say die . Leben whopped ass and is now going to fight Desiel . Franklin vs Quarry . The middle wieght devision is getting deep . Evan Tanner looked amasing up until he got all those elbows . The free UFC fights on Spike tv have been awesome !

That did suck for Koshcheck. He dominated the whole fight then lost. I think Franklin is a bad ass and I am really looking forward to seeing Quarry fight him.

Very simular styles . Same size and strength . It will be either a short fight or a long one . Rich can swat but he usually dosent win with just one punch . I have seen Nate hit a guy and split him from the forhead to the vertex with a single punch . That was almost an 8" long gash ! If you would have pulled on the guys ears you could have scalped him . The real question is will either one respect the other one . Many times a lack of respect is the key .First off the line every time and throwing heaters .

My friends wanted me to send in a tape for the welterwieghts on TUF2 . I could have droped the weight but my wife got sick and my 2 boys are still very young . They are casting for middleweights and I could do that also . My problems still remain and not getting any money or being able to help with my kids for 3 months is not an option . Nate Quarry who is fighting for the middleweight title spent years training at my gym . He is only an inch or so taller than me . Tuf1 had 2 SBG fighters and 1 team Quest and a team Quest instructor .

He was Nate Quarrys and Randy Cotoure's and Rob Follis's who runs and trains all the Team Quest fighters . Including Evan Tanner ,Matt Lindland ,Chris Leben also . I used to train at AMC kickboxing with Maurice Smith in Seattle . I had to move there because the kickboxing / mma scene here was nothing at the time . I moved home after an injury/bike wreck and took a couple years off to grow as a person outside the ring . I did not think I would ever fight again but I saw the SBG comp team dominate a local mma event and wanted to train with them . That was about 8 years ago ? I have taken a year or 2 off in there once or twice due to burnout , injurys , work schedul and going back to school . I had been showing up once every couple months when the TUF 1 came on . It motovated me seeing people I knew . I still don't train as much as I would like . But I think about getting into the ring again all the time .

I trained in a little TKD as a kid, but I am thinking of starting back into some MMA. Jorge Gurgel's school is relatively close to me and I am thinking of starting some Muay Thai & BJJ classes soon. A part of me thinks I am too old (30) to even get back into it, but hell, who knows...

Do it . MMA is not that hard on the body . It will give you many bumps and bruises but almost zero injurys compared to traditional styles . I am older than you at 31 and still doing it . Randys 42 . If you ease into it you should be fine . Goerge was an ass on the show but well respected in real life . Check out a class and try it out .

Nate got dropped by Ritch in the most brutal KO I may have ever seen last night .Nate came out looking to land ONE big shot and Ritch threw punches in bunches . Nate got clipped a few times and then ka-blamo . He fell back and his arms and legs went stiff and his toes curled up and all he could do was twitch . I was worried that he would be permanantly injured . It was that bad !

Ugliest KO ever ! He must have thought he could time that right cross counter that Evan Tanner used against Rich . That is one hole he fixed . I don't know if Nate even hit Rich once . Having seen Nate fight alot , I can say he did not look himself . I think over confident is the term I would use . I don't think that I have ever seen Rich look that sharp . It was a total blowout . If Rich just stayed at that level he would never lose .
