Last Thursday we got 12-14" of snow, the bulk of it in about 2 hours, had to leave work early since we couldn't see across the street. Took me 45 minutes to drive the 2.5 miles home. Next afternoon, Friday, I was riding my bike since it was around 60 degrees and all the streets were clear and dry.

Spent all Saturday and Sunday riding in a light jacket. Temps were pushing mid 70's on Sunday.

Last night we got another 2 inches. Rushed home from work and got on the bike and rode about 60 miles since it was in the 60's and everything was dry and clear.

We're supposed to get dumped on this Saturday, another 12 inches. Figure I'll be riding again Sunday or Monday.

I love it, I can get all four seasons and still ride the bike 12 months out of the year. I've logged over 1000 miles so far in 2009.

That's crazy shit.

Crazy here too. (not to that extent though) Really nice yesterday, raining a buch today then suppose to get cold and possibly snow a bit next week.

yeah, i loved the weather in denver when i lived there as a kid. even when it's hot, it's dry heat. here in nc, 80* feels like 95* because of the suffocating humidity.

Nope, it's pretty much like that all the time here. We get something like 350 days of sun. It can be mid January and 35 degrees and you can be out riding. With the sun it feels like 50.

It's no big deal to get 6 inches of snow one day and absolutely no sign of it 24 hours later. We have very little snow clearing as far as the city goes, the sun does it for us.

At this time of year, we usually get a really good storm, 24-36" and within 3 days or so, you would never know it. Just don't tell anyone, we don't need anymore people moving here.

Guam, I'm betting you would have to put on a jacket in 80 degrees here after dealing with the Carolina heat. It would probably feel cold to you.

I'll stick with my 115-120 degree dry heat summers and 362 riding days a year, here in Sin City. If I want to see snow, greenery, etc., there's PLENTY of mountains surrounding the valley... 30 minutes or less, driving time.
