Steelers to Lose Three Super Bowl Trophies
Written by ESPN News Tuesday, 24 March 2009

Pittsburgh, PA. The Super Bowl XLIII Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, the only
team to win six titles, will soon be losing half of those trophies. After a
meeting between NFL Commissioner Rodger Gadel and President Barack Obama,
Obama decided to redistribute half of their Super Bowl victories and
trophies to less fortunate teams in the league.
"We live everyday in the country that invented the Super Bowl." said Obama
"We are not about to lose this Great American tradition in the wake of these
difficult times." Obama's plan calls for the Steelers, who are a successful
NFL team, to give half of their Super Bowl trophies to teams that are not
successful, or have not been as successful as the Steelers. "The Detroit
Lions are just as much a part of the same fiber of the NFL as the Steelers
and they should, no rather, "will" be entitled to a Super Bowl Trophy as
well."
The Pittsburgh Steelers, by virtue of hard work, excellent team play,
stellar draft choices, responsible investing in free agents, careful hiring
of coaches and excellent community service and commitment to their fans, has
prospered greatly during the past 30 years and have won six Super Bowl
Trophies. But President Barack Obama's plan calls for the Pittsburgh
Steelers to carry the larger burden of the NFL's less successful teams.
Obama went on to further proclaim, "In these difficult times we are all in
this to work together. We must reclaim the NFL Championship Dream for every
team, for every city and for every fan."
"My plan will not affect 31 of the 32 teams in the league." Obama assures --
over 95 percent of the teams in the NFL will not have to worry about losing
any Super Bowl Trophies. "The worst teams in the NFL and the teams that
can't seem to get a break and win a championship will no longer have to
worry about going without a title." Obama promises. "We are a country and
league of hope. We all need to make a change. It does not matter the color
of the teams uniforms, the personal decisions that the teams make or their
performance, but rather if they are a member of this great American league."
The Super Bowl XLIII trophy will be redistributed to the 0-16 Detroit Lions.
Through no fault of their own incompetence, the Lions could not manage a
victory all season and this trophy will help ease the pain of their lack of
performance and give them hope once again. The redistribution of Super Bowl
XL trophy will go directly to the Steeler's division rival the Cincinnati
Bengals. The Bengals who also have fallen on hard times have never won a
Super Bowl. This victory will bring a smile to hundreds of Bengal fans all
over the world as they can now celebrate. Finally, one of the Steeler's two
Super Bowl victories over the Dallas Cowboys will go back to the Cowboys
since the league needs to provide hope in the face of difficulty and provide
hope in the face of uncertainty. "This is a heavy burden for the Steelers,
but together we can all prosper."
All hope is not lost for Pittsburgh fans, Obama has another plan in mind.
Obama has met with MLB commissioner Bud Selig on a similar plan. The New
York Yankees will redistribute two of their world series trophies to the
Pittsburgh Pirates in recognition of their 16 straight losing seasons. This
plan will help stimulate the Pirates and enable them to regain the American
Dream. Barack Obama will be meeting with the NHL and Michael Phelps in the
upcoming weeks as this issue is high on his agenda for "Hope and Change."

I see alot of guys on the forum have more than one bike, maybe i'll sell mine and just take one of theirs. I'm sure they would be happy to make this country a better place. With the money i get from mine, i'll be able stimulate the economy by getting all kinds of new aftermarket parts that i'm sure will all be made in America (where else would they make them)

Tough to let it go when you feel like Obama & the demoncrats intend to socialize this country to the point that it will almost be impossible to reverse. I'll not stand by & cow down quietly to anything they want to do that I feel is damaging to the country, especially with the likes of Prozac Pelosi in power.

Welcome to my world Brother. Up here, we have suffered through one Liberal government after another (we've got a really screwed up three party system: Conservative - right wing, Liberal - left wing, and New Democrat - so far left they're not even on the field, oh ya, and the Bloc De'Quebecois - tries to represent the biggest drain on our sysyem, Quebec, but doesn't have a hope in Hell so we let them play but still call it three parties). For the past few years the Conservatives have stayed in power. Guess what? Our economy has been in better shape, we've lost nothing in terms of health care, education, etc. The naysayers keep harping about the Conservatives' religious, anti-abortion, etc, etc, agendas, and none of it has panned out. If Obama can do good things, good for him. If not, you'll pay for it for years to come. I do agree that he didn't tank the economy but has now got to fix it. I hope it works out for you guys.

Barack Obama - A seemingly bright individual with a power to work a crowd. Made his fortune suing banks for Acorn, thereby creating the entire sub-prime loan mess.

Potatoes Pototoes, either way whether he was involved a little or alot it was one of the biggest mistakes the U.S. government ever made in trying to make every loser a home owner. I just happened to be getting my first home loan in 1995 when all this own a home dream crap was going on. My loan officer at BankOne Mtg. told me i was guaranteed to get my loan for my first house as long as i had a job. I asked why, and she continued to tell me that every bank in the U.S. now has to give out a large % of their loans to low income and first time home buyers or they will be penalized at the end of the year. I didn't think much of it back then, but now i do, because i'm paying for all those lazy idiots that bought homes they couldn't afford.:pissed:

:idea2:By the way Obama just instituded an $8000 cash bonus to any one who buys their first house.
HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!:pissed:
Some people should just rent dude. Having money, health insurance, homes, nice cars, nice teeth are all priviledges not rights.

I hope he does good too, but he won't.:thumbsdow

Well....from the outside (sort of) looking in, yes. But as I said, the difference up here is the "three" party system. Alot would argue that more choice is better, but it can also throw everything askew. As for socialism, I wouldn't call Canada "Socialist" aside from access to health care, education and all the basic and essential human rights. I do admit that we need to tighten up the purse strings on some of that stuff, and I'm also quick to complain about the taxes we pay up here (13% on retail and avereage 55% on income) but I take comfort in the fact that my kids go to a nice school and we don't get turned away by some HMO if we get sick (not everything is covered BTW, health insurance still helps). We continue to play ball and support our American friends (2nd to you guys in contributing to the war on terror). As for Obama, I'm skeptical, but I also say give the guy a chance. He can't possibly be any worse than the last guy. As I said, this is from the outside, looking in. Just my .02.

I knew it wasn't true, but sometimes you have to say outrageous things in order to get people to listen! The truth is Obama has no problem increasing the size of the government to a size never intended by our founding fathers.

What?! Sometimes you have to say outrageous things to get people to listen?!! Like what, "The Zionists are taking over the world!", or "Just step in, it's just a shower." Are you retarded? Do you think our brothers and sisters have spent the past several years in the Middle East dodging roadside IED's (often unsuccessfully) because people said something outrageous? Wait, yes, they did, because the bad guys have been saying outrageous things that their followers tend to believe. Wake up dude.

You're right Beak, maybe that was a little too outrageous. But Obama claiming that the government will create jobs is not outrageous? Anyone with a half a brain can see that the government cannot create anything that it did not first take from someone who created it in the first place.

"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have."

Read the book "5000 Year Leap" It is about our founding fathers and their beliefs and values. It talks about what happened when Thomas Jefferson went to Paris and left Alexander Hamilton to run things. He convinced George Washington that it was a good idea to run huge deficits in order to fund government projects "for the good of the people." Thomas Jefferson returned from Paris, and upon learning of this, immediatly took action and spoke with Alexander Hamilton. He spoke harshly telling him that he should not be so quick to enslave our grandchlldren with debt so that we may be happy in our lifetime!

I see your point Shadow, but, I think the expression "sins of the father" was coined 'way before Jefferson. There aren't too many ways around it. The next generation is almost always left to pay for the mistakes of the one before it. I only hope that what is happening now (sorry guys, but mostly caused by the U.S.'s banking/loan policies) doesn't turn out like the '30's: depression that effected the entire world, causing a few countries to ally and start a World War, etc, etc...

No Doubt its the banking loan policies, and it's definitely the governments fault, but we all have to remember the government is just an extension of what the average person wants. Greed starts in one man's life and then those men represent the rest of us. If everyones attitude was to save and buy things when they could afford it, then the governments would ditto that because in a democracy we the people are the government. Just my 2 cents.

I would have to say the problems started when the government convinced the people that they were no longer capable of taking care of themselves. It's surely no secret that people on welfare will vote for the party that promises to continue and expand their handouts! We are witnessing the largest expansion of government in US and perhaps World history, which will create an even larger welfare state, thereby continuing to keep in power the very people who are responsible for putting them there.

This is our future. Unless a large majority of us wake up in the next election and vote out EVERY single current sitting representative and DEMAND TERM LIMITS for congressman and senators be ratified into a new amendment in the constitution! There is no way our current crop of goons will do that, so we can only hope to vote in a new set of citizens that will act responsibly.
