I had a good sized power point presentation that was nothing but jets breaking the sound barrier. I'll see if I can find it, and figure out a way to post it or at least have a link to it.

It looks like it is almost at the sound barrier. If I remember correctly, the cone that is trailing the jet, (cloud in a cone shape), goes out in front of it when it actually passes the sound barrier. Has to push all the air IN FRONT of the jet in a cone shape.
