Aftermarket bars

I ordered some Wild 1 chubby bars last week, and I hope I didn't fuck up. I figured if they were listed on the "fits 750 ACE" page on the Phat Performance Parts website, they will fit my bike. The more I read, the more I'm not sure if I fucked up or not.

Will these fit on my bike stock or will I have to bore out the top tree to 1 1/4"? I know this is as bad as the newbie questions come but I ordered a bunch of stuff to re-do my bars and controls and I've been working on stuff long enough to know there is always some kind of snag. I'd like to avoid that since I can't exactly just run out to the store and buy new parts for my bike like I can my Jeep.

Take a deep breath...They'll fit. The important part is the 100mm, 4", spacing. By looking at their website though, it says that ALL they're bars require 1/2" X 13 mounting bolts. So you likely will have to drill out the holes in your top tree (just a little). Not a big deal. Just use some cutting fluid or WD40 when you do it as the holes are actually sleeves inside rubber mounts. It's a ten minute job and you're not taking much off.

Thanks beaker. I can handle that. I'm not sure if I made it clear or not, but I was thinking I would have to ream the top of the tree's to accept the 1/4" larger diameter. Kinda hard when I don't know all the measurements and specs about the bikes yet, but I want to change so much stuff.

The 1, 1/4" refers to the fat, outside diameter of the bar. The grip portion (where your controls and grips go on) will be 1", so your stock stuff will fit. You'll just have to drill out the two holes in your top fork tree a little for the 1/2" bolts that will hold the bars on. Nice looking bars BTW.

Thanks, I got them coming in black finish with ISO grips, control covers and some other do0 dads.
