:idea2: I was wondering, does anyone know if the air intake under the seat can be modified to the side of the bike like on the 750 models. I would like to put a fully functioning hypercharger kit on my 1100 ss.

I was able to re-route the air intake to a ram-air type set up...just have to move the battery

Thanks for the compliments. I think with some plumbing work you could keep the battery where it's at and mount the charger on the other side. I'm just going by my 1100 though.

I'm surprised no one has made anything for them towork on the 750's yet. I mean they're really popular bikes. You'd think someone would have made a kit by now.

You could also do it on the tool kit side. Mine didn't come with one or a cover for that matter.

I decided to go out the left side because of the exhaust... too much shit on one side for me. I spun the battery 90 degrees and mounted it to the crossbar under the seat. I posted a couple pics in my gallery

It doesn't get in the way too much, I'm thinking about extending the shifter though. I'm in the preocess of re-jetting... once I got above 30 mph it started to miss and cut out. Way too much air, not enough fuel. Now I just have to wait a week for the jets

I know I am a noob here but it does not mean that I am a novice in the biking world...
Skott411, you mentioned the bike boggs down at speeds above 30 mph and this got me thinking about some of my bikes that have ram air induction and multiple carbs.
On my 600 sport bike, Honda vents the carbs to each other equalizing the pressure in the float bowls and then runs a vent line to the front of the bike that draws in air under pressure from the speed of the bike.
I think this venting helps to keeps fuel in the float bowl while air is getting sucked into the motor from the ram air.
If the jetting works out and your bike runs great from your mods just disregaurd this post.

That is a sweet job. I need to get crackin on mine. I was going to fab up a thin but wide tube about 3\4" by maybe 5 or 6" wide going from above the rad straight to the airbox by trimming the plastic underneath the tank.
