THe ride im taking in june.....

So, june the second me and 2 of my buddies are shipping our bikes to L.A. flying down to meet with the bikes and riding around l.a. for a couple days. Then we'll ride down to tijuana mexico to cross the border and ride all the way down the baja to cabo san lucus. After a few days of tequila, beer, and seniorita's, we'll head back up the baja and ride all the way back home across the states. I cant wait. I've already got my passport, and plane tickets. We woul'da rode all the way out and back but we didnt have enough vacation time to take. I hope the shadow can make it.... lol. You guys got any sugestions for a 20,000 mile shadow? i've already got all new bearings, spark plugs, tires, chain and cogs, and i think im gonna put a clutch in it. Also post wut trips you guys are goin on....

Yeah, i know. im a lil worried about traveling through mexico. but ol well. Sometimes ya jus gotta take chances. The part im worried about is, there is a 200 mile section without any gas stations. as you all know we can only get about 110miles to the tank. we're gonna take gas cans i guess

lol, it really aint gonna cost to much though.... we got our PLANE tickets for $140 and to ship my bikes only like $500. then all the expenses along the way or whatever. I dont think their strippers/hookers are very expensive

As a heads up, Hot Bike's "Choppers Magazine" cancelled their annual El Diablo run to Baja for 2009 due to all the shootings down there. I've read a bunch of the reports, and it's crazy. Lotsa innocent bystanders catching lead and lotsa whities being kidnapped...

yeah, i've heard lots about all this too. Its got me a lil worried but hey if we get to l.a. and decide its to dangerous, we can skip out on cabo. We got a month of vacation to get home any route we wanna go so... who knows

That sounds great! I would be a little worried about Mexico, but with 3 you might be ok. I am a native here in AZ and have never been to Mexico, have heard too many bad stories from others. Still, you will have the time of your life!

The only "big" ride I am going on is on April 1st. It is the kick off to the annual Arizona Bike Week. Starting at a HD dealership and riding 240 miles. To and back from my house to their dealership is 120 miles round trip for me, so that's 360 miles for the day for me right there. It should be fun, the route is up through the mountains around Prescott and back. Not sure how I will feel the next day since I am riding ridged.:cool4:
