When I bought my bike it had 2" cobra drag pipes on it. Sounds great. However I dont know if it was ever jeted for the pipes. How can I tell if it needs to be re jeted or if it's ok? Thanks, God bless.

Stock SS750 should have #105 main jet in front carb and #108 in the rear. I just install Cobra 2's and put # 108 in the front and #110 in the rear. I also shimmed my needle jet up with a .015" washer i got from a local bike shop. Bike idles good and plugs show a nice light brown color. It is running really well! I put 140 miles on the bike yesterday and today.

But instead of pulling the carbs apart to see what jets you have, just check the sparkplugs. If they are light brown it is good. If they are white it is too lean and too hot. If they are brown leave it alone and ride on!

When you check your plugs you need to run the bike at about 60 mph and hit the kill switch then coast to the side of the road and check the plugs. This will tell you if you are lean or not at normal riding speeds. If you just check them after it is idling it tells you if it is ok at idle speed.

My .02: the kits from factory pro have a good rep. That's what I installed. It's my understanding that they supposedly have a good support staff if needed. Jet installlations a snap, it's getting to the carbs that's time consuming :) .....Try this link - http://www.factorypro.com/
