usually you do bottom out if the ramp has more than about a 20* slope on account of your front end when it gets into the bed of the truck will be level until your come to the frame and at that point your ass end will still be at 20* variance to your front end.....so with said the less angle you can get the ramp the less likely you are to bottoming out....now as far as tie down, if there is any way you can cinch it without having to use the kickstand and have it stable you'll do just fine......if you find you have to use the kick stand then you have to be careful not to slam the rear end of the truck in potholes, over curbs, over speed bumps, as that sudden slam could collapse your kickstand......just use common sense and take it easy, you'll do just fine., hauling it in the back of that box truck.

I rode mine up a ramp into a pickup truck. Just have some other guys around incase the shit hits the fan. Also make sure the points your stapping it to inside the truck are actully secured to something. I looked at a uhaul to move mine in but there was nothing inside the truck to securely strap it to.

That`s some funny stuff beaker.Seriously brother,If you dont have anything on the floor to strap to and it is a wood floor.Go buy some threaded eyelets or the eyelets made for a trailer(comes on the flat plate with four holes) and screw them to the floor. When you finish moving, remove and nobody will be the wiser.Good luck in the move,oh,use your neighbors sloped drive or hillside to lessen the angle as Mcvierh stated.

If it doesn't have a wood floor use a sheet of 3/4 plywood with two 2x4s 4' each perpendicular with the wheels. Put the eyelets in both ends of both 2x4's and screw the boards to the plywood. Drive the bike onto the plywood and you'll have something to tie down to.

I knew the 50 yard running start would work.

after you get the bike in, on the inside on the outer edges the floor should go into sheet metal for part of the floor and walls you can take the bolts out and put in your own eye lets. do not tell u haul you are doing this or they will not let you get the truck you will end up going to another u haul or to ryder to get a truck. when you get to texas take your bolts out put there's in and turn the truck in. i have done it in a truck and trailer from them with a buddys bike. if they know you are doing it they get pissed because your know suppose to "alter" there trucks. so don't tell them. good luck.

As mentioned before, a couple of these with 1/4 x 3 self-tappers thru the floor and into the frame will do just fine. Pull them up after you get there and U-haul will never know.

Should be able to get them at any tractor/farm supply.

I am in the moving and storage business, usually u-haul trucks are pretty low to the ground so you should not have to worry about ramp height. My ramps are curved and my truck is dock height. two months ago I loaded and unloaded a 08 streetglide and a 74 chopper. The method I used to tie them down probably would not work in a u-haul truck. I placed them next to one of the pad stacks and padded them really well. We stap our pad stacks to the wall. I just used that strap to strap the bikes to their separate pad stacks thus strapping them to the wall. I moved them over 500 miles no problem.
