:angel:Echo on the prayers here!

They say here in Portland the gas will reach between 5-8 bucks a gallon!!
Can you imagine filling your car and a 100 dollar bill not being enough to pay for it!
They say that 1/3 of our Nations refineries are there and they could not produce enough gas if they crash.
IMO, they raise prices to an unbearable amount so when they lower it to a rate that would have been unacceptable in the first place, people feel relieved and accept the outrageous price that it settles at.

Back to the prayers for all who will suffer...

A lot of the refineries are down in the Texas City, Galveston area. They are all at a stand still right now. If the hurricane continues to turn like is has in the last 24 hours it will make landfall at the Texas-Louisiana border. If that happens the refineries should open again on Monday or Tuesday.

They will still use this as a way to raise prices again, but maybe not to long.

Have a lot of good friends down in Houston. One of them, his wife is dying from cancer. She is not expected to live for more than a few more weeks. They thought about evacuating, but the drive would be too much for her. They decided to stay home and hunker down. The rest of the family is staying as well.

So keep your fingers crossed for them, and a prayer or two as well

Not to be a insensitve dick . But arent hurracanes an act of god ? Please god don't kill us ? I do hope every one is ok . The price gouging on gas sucks . You would think that with a president with so many ties to the oil trade he could do somthing about it . Besides getting richer . Can you believe the came out with a H3 ? They are giving them away on a local radio station contest . I could not imagine driving one if gas was 8bucks a gallon .

The price of gas better not take a huge jump. Everything I am hearing from that area is that the refineries have experienced little or no damage with maybe one or two exceptions, and they are not that serious either.

If it does, it is time to clean house on capitol hill.
