Hello all you guru types...
Yes, I did look (search) a bit before I decided to axe this question of you good sirs.
I am trying to do a bobber from a 1999 ACE.
Looking to put some wheels off an SS on the ACE, and was wondering if they will bolt right on.
I know the SS front is a 110-19, a more narrow yet larger diameter wheel than the ACE, which is cool.
Thanks.
I also tried to add pics, but can't seem to make it like the files it says it likes.
Fire away at the noob.

Cool.
Thanks for the in-depth post, sharing the info that the differences between the SS and the ACE front wheel deal mainly with rim width and diameter, the primary hub being the same.
(Little bit of noob sarcasm there.) :bomb:
I assume the rear wheels are the same between the two models.
As an aircraft engineer, I tend to look for all the technical nuances involved in a new project I get involved with.
I am new to the Shadow Realm, and am trying to glean all I can from the various gurus in residence.
Thanks,
Mike

You're planning on buying Yo Muda's red powder coated wheels, aren't you? Well, aren't you? You can't lie to me, you are aren't you? Well don't! Because they're cool (and I'm waiting for him to get sick of trying to sell them and finally drive up to my place in the Tundra and throw them on my porch!).

Yes Mike, Bottom line is the same hub, everything bolts right on, no need to change anything... Rear wheels are the same as well, no need to change that at all unless you're thinking of buying those cool red powdercoated ones that Yo Muda has... And you don't wanna do that as a noob because then you would actually start to be as cool as us...
Ther is a ton of good useful knowledge here, stick around and we'll help you through the tough times little buddy...
BTW thanks for the props, too bad she's back in pieces and will look totally different when she rolls out in the spring...
As far as the pics, download them to photobucket and use the url for sigs in you sig...

Red powder coated wheels (especially ones with chrome spokes) will void your warranty.
Ragman, you gonna do the Dragon Run in June?

Hey maybe I could strap em on a big ole ugly Goldwing and drop em off at the Dragon.

I'll bring my tire levers and we can switch 'em in the parking lot!

Beaker:
Why yes, I AM thinking about it.
I have the Last Chance Garage Warranty on all my scoots and rods.
As for being cool, I can only aspire to one day be as cool as you fellers, and these rims might help.
"It could happen.."
And the last time I got called little was about 3 minutes after birth.
Muda:
What would the shipping be to 75117?
Maybe I could ride up and strap them on the old Harley.

If I had the cash, I'd buy 'em. But I don't. I decided to stick with mine and maybe do the 21" HD front next winter.

I am still tossing around the "look" options.
Either the squat, fat tired look , or the tall, narrow look.

Shoot....I have a Spirit, but I'm looking for the more fat tire/non spirit look on the front end.Anyone know if I need to drop the front fender if I stick an ACE front rim and tire on?Right now I have the standard non spoke ugly rims, but searching for spoked wheels.Any idea where to get'em?
Cheers

phillip...Is you bike an 1100 spirit of 750? I thought all the 750s were equipped with spoked wheels and the 100 spirits were not.
My ACE has a 17" rim and the wifes 750 spirit has a 19" rim up front. the fenders are definitely mounted at different heights on the forks! I plan on swapping front tires this winter just for the hell of it to see what they will look like! Post some pics if you do this!

I know it has already been determined, but I thought that I'd throw mine in since I have an ACE with an SS wheel on the front.
