I was wondering if anyone here knew a way to find a accurate value for a bike. KBB and Nada arent exactly taking milage, or extras into account. Heres a little rundown, maybe someone can give me a idea.
2003 Shadow Spirit 750
2,500 Miles
extras include
Chrome Grips
Chrome Horn Cover
Chrome Plate Holder
Chrome Break Pedal Cover
Chrome Shifter Cover
Chrome Fluid Cap Cover
Chromed Beaded Wire Kit
Chrome Bullet Turn Signals for the back
Billski Cat Eye Tail Light
1.5" Lowering Kit
Chrome Headlight Visor
17" Sissy Bar and Pad
Chrome Dipstick
Leather Tank Bib w/ Pouch
Leather Tool Bag mounted on drag bars
Tornado Styles aftermarker mirrors
Thinking about
6" Forward Extensions by scootmods
And either the Chrome Engine cover for the left side
or the Chrome toolbox like Beaker has
Just looking for a idea, used kbb and nada and got a price, but they said it should have approx 27,000 miles and it only has 2,500

A buck fifty ($1.50us) + a case of beer & a large pizza.
Try ebay!!!!
Throw a price on it (select a high reserve) and see if anyone offers what your looking for or see what the highest bid is...
Other than that, $1.50 + case of beer + 2 large pizza's

Value is relative, no matter the mileage or year., One man might say for what you've described, I've gotta have 5 grand firm, another man who's a hell of a lot hungrier might say I'll take 3500 cash......
Then theres the guy who won't even part with it for 7 thousand.

Its only worth what someone is willing to pay....but also worth more to the owner.....

When you list it, just make sure to list it for more than you think it's worth.
You can always come down, you can never go up.

honestly dude, you never get the $ back out of your mods you do....and its an 03, even with the low miles on it, ...your prob gonna realistically only be able to get around $3500 or so
(2) things against it, are the economy sucks balls right now, and its 6 years old
i know it sucks, but thats prob the reality of the situation...i hope ya get more though for it:grin:

Alright Beaker, we should be buying up some of these spirits at $3500 and do a little work to them and sell them. I just browsed Autotrader for Ontario and could find anything under $6,000 ........

Like every other scam artist and car thief in Ontario. We could get some Katrina flood-bikes real cheap....I wouldn`t have a problem with a bike that`s seen water as long as i was the one buying it that way and knew that.I personally would go through it and clean, replace important parts that would be affected by the water, but wouldn`t sell it as a non-flood bike. That`s just wrong and i know you were kiddin Beak when you said that and yes, your right, there is thieves that are doing that daily.

All cars or bikes drop in value once you take them off the lot. Most modifacations do not add value. Some even detract value. What is very cool to you, may not be cool to others. However to the right guy, you may be sitting on gold. A friend of mine bought an ACE for $3500. Rode it for a while and then a guy offered him $8000 for it! He sold it. I don't think that kind of thing happens very often.:thumbsdow

i dont know what youre talking about i got my 05 Honda Spirit in early 07 for $3K with 2k on it.
the mod thing is widely known, its the same rule for cars. You can try to get more and maybe you'll luck out into someone who wants it but most people dont. The mods are mostly cosmetic and cosmetic is a personal thing, if its performance then its still personal and wont raise the value that much.
try to keep this in mind when building the bike if you think you might be selling it in a few years, keep the original parts put em back on and sell the mods separately.
