Aero Guy

I don't think this will catch on like my plate mod for the Aero did, but I think it's a neat idea.
I wanted some storage for everyday riding. I don't really care for the look of saddlebags and magnetic tank bags just don't look good on cruisers (and of course anyone can just walk by and take'em if they are so inclined).
All I needed was a place to stow my wallet/keys/checkbook etc. and small items. I found a piece of American Tourister luggage that was essentially the same size as the rear seat.
I got some 1 1/2" wide nylon webbing that I think was the belt of one of my hiking packs to use as the method of attachment. I used 3 pieces (one for the rear tab and two for the front. I added aluminum eyelets for attachment points.
The rear tab attaches to the rear seat bolt:

The two front straps attach via screws/nuts to the existing rear seat front bracket location under the front seat:

And the result:

Put it to good use over the weekend, was even able to stuff a Mcdonalds salad and fries in there! Another good thing about this particualr bag is that it's actually a toiletries bag, so it's got in inner lining that will help keep the rain away I happen to get caught in shower. It's got a main storage area and on on each side that were made to hold shampoo bottles. Now I can carry a couple of waterbottles for those really long rides!
