Ya'll seen Honda's New Chopper their coming out with call " The Fury"? It looks pretty damn cool!!! Not bad for their first shot at making one for production. Needs a few different things but overall a sharp lookin bike. Could stand to go alittle wider back tire and different bars "imo". You can check it out on honda's website.

Honda's 6 years to late with that "Fury" shit, it's already been way over done. I saw them assholes on T.V. (and I only watched it once about 3 years ago)making a lot of money off of fair-weather riders. Who the fuck is stupid enough pay $60,000 to $90,000 for an OCC? And even now I see Big Dogs in the show room going for $34,000, you gotta be real fucking bright to put out that kind of money for SS bolt ons. IMO

No def not a chopper. I saw and sat on it live at the Chicago bike show. I looked at it the way everyone looks at their bikes off the show room floor. What am I going to do to mod it? Look at how much we've all modded our ss's. This things no different. New pipes, yeah. Get rid of the reflectors (we had em on ours too). I'd slice off the license holder and (maybe) do a side tag. I know they've been done to death. That's why I said maybe. Haven't figured out what else to do with it. Rear turn sigs are WAY too big, but so were the one's on our ss's. Cut em off and relocate on back fender. Yeah rear tire can be bigger, but not a bad start. Drop the back end down some more sure. Gotta remember folks this thing is bone stock, just like all of our ss's were. I don't see it a chopper. It could be with the right mods. Style? Not too bad. I do agree it's too late. But I don't follow trends. So I'd be the idiot ridin it. If no one else will ride it? Good enough for me. I'll be different. Don't care if I'm called the retard, idiot, or whatever. I'm no fabricator by any means. I am a "bolt on" guy cause I'll admit I have no clue how to chop something up like some of these guys in here (That do an INCREDIBLE job. GOD I've seen some killer rides in here!!). I can't do those things. So I'm Mr. bolt on. And if no one else is ridin this thing, good. I'll stand out. Don't care if it's good or bad. I don't want to ride what's in style at the time. I want to ride something that I like the looks of and that I can change to my liking. I guess it all comes down to personal opinion. I don't mind people bashing what I ride or what I like. IF I got this thing, I sure as hell wouldn't be one of those Abercrombe and Bitch guys that you guys are decribing though. I'll probably metal it out as I've done with my ss. Who knows? Just my 2 cents. Better 13G for this thing than 30 to 40G for a Big Dog or something in that genre as stated above. For me, my next bike is either this thing or an 09 HD streetbob. I know, I know HD!?! OMG!! HOW COULD I!?! Well those are the 2 that I'm lookin at. And believe me it'll be a looooooong time before I get a bigger bike. Can't afford it after filling BK. Just dreaming on whatever catches my eye. Don't care if it's in current style or not.

Sorry people, guess I'm not staying up to date on things. I had just seen it in magazine yesterday. I do like the idea that honda aleast tried to do something alittle different. When I had my 03 750SS I spent alot of money making it my own, and could do the same with that one too. I was just ready to go to bigger bike back then and sold it. Done went through the HD stage and they are nice, but way over priced. Take it from me "second mortgage" isn't the way to get one. lol No longer have the HD, but do still have the second f**ckin mortgage. I was thinkin about getting another Honda and seen the fury. Thought you guys may not have seen it, but guess you have. Take care and ride safe!!!

I think it would be funny to "test drive" one of these when my dealer gets one in a couple of months. Ride it off the lot and have all of you guys waiting down the street tools in hand. Go to town on it and bring it back "how it should be". I wander if they would be as pleased and the car rental place from Jackass the movie.

I saw 4 last week and i don't know if they were prototypes or what, but the welds were insane bad. Their was 4 at the Cleveland Moto show and all of them had terrible welds and looked like they had filled in holes in the down tube. Besides that the 200 tire looks like a bicycle tire on such a big frame. Looks like a toy.

Don't mean to be argumentive, but this is nothing new, it's the same old thing that every american cookie cutter bike factory (Iron horse, et al...) has been doing for fifteen years, Honda is just a little late jumpin on that bandwagon, and THAT is why this thing is so lame; sure it has loads of potential, but so does every pile of parts in every wrecking yard in the country!

and if nobody else is riding it, meaning nobody else is buying it, you'd better be good at building your own stuff cause the aftermarket for custom parts won't be there.

LOL!! You know what? Good point indeed. I never did think of it that way. That being the case, I'll say "I'll wait to see what kind of aftermarket parts are made before I'd get one." See that's the other thing I like about this forum. Always a good point missed. But then again as I said before, no moolah = no bigger bike anyways. So by the time I actually do have the means, maybe there will be some cool aftermarket stuff? Who knows? Point taken sir.
And Apache, if the bike in your profile pic is your ss, that's what I meant before by saying there are some killer bikes and builders in here. Kudos man. I wish I did have the talent.

Whew. Good god. Beautiful job, pic, and everything else that goes with that little beast!! Funny thing is my neighbor across my street is a real car nut mechanic that built his own Duster from ground up. It was his uncles who passed away, so he took it up and finished it off right!! He'd hidein his house whenever he saw a new box at my doorstep cause he knew I'd be knockin for some power tools. LOL!! Naw but he'd gladly help out. He loves turnin wrenches. Of course there was some kind of payment back at him. Be it monitary or booze wise. He he.

I do like the Fury. I agree that Honda is very late on getting on the chopper production bandwagon, and from the other thread on here asking if what we have is a chopper or not, it seems kinda of silly that they can call it a "production chopper".
Ya, of course there is usually always something with any bike that each and every person can look at and say "gee, I should hake this off, add this, replace that". I like the frame and rake of the Fury, not too high or stretched to far. The back end looks wrong for the flow of the bike. The tank flows nice with the seat, just like a tank stretch mod.
Over all, I would rather keep my bike and keep modding it.

I think it is because the rear fender looks/is wider than the tank, just seems to flow wrong.

Why the 1300? Why not the 1800vtx motor? I like it as a new platform for customization, minus the shaft drive. I think, I will wait for the bigger version and the market to make some cool parts for it before I buy one. Maybe a 6 speed like the HD's have. This bike if far from a HD killer. But it could be with a few tweaks. Loose all the cheap plastic parts, upgrade to the 1800, for god's sake put a belt or chain on it, forget fat rear tires[ the current trend is heading the other way towards handling], add a 6th gear. Fuel injection is a great idea! A late yet short bold step for Honda.

Choppers are supposed to have raw power. I have rode a 1300 vtx many times. Nice but not that strong. A SS750 with the single carb mod can waste one, up to around 85mph. Honda may have to retool to make this bike really work. I still want to try one out. I like the pipes but I bet they sound weak because of noise and evironmental laws. After market 2-1 pipes with a megaphone muffler would be awesome.

It has no facial features, body language, or tonal inflections. It is very easy to take things the wrong way. It leaves it all up to emotional interpretation. The least effective form of communication. Like when you tell a woman nice dress, and she gets you think I am fat. She is feeling something, you say something, you make what she is feeling real. Not what you said or ment. It is what was communicated. Real or otherwise.

I put on a repro of the old chrome Sportster fender. It's made for a 21" wheel so I had to make adapters to drop it for the 19". I didn't want to mess up it's bracket because I think I'd like to do the 21" wheel mod next Winter. Wasn't a big deal and it turned out pretty nice. The adapters are just plates that bolt to our stock front fork fender mounts, but drop it about 2".

If the server gets fixed and lets me upload some pics, I'll get them on in the next day or two. I had planned on drilling the rivets out of the HD fender and redrilling the stock bracket, but the HD was way too narrow to fit on the stocker. The chrome bracket looks nice and with my new-found polishing skills and a couple of stainless acorn nuts, you hardly even notice the adapters.
