VT-1100 Spirit REAR Lowering Kit - Along with our other Scootworks rear lowering kits, this kit has been in high demand for some time. Scootworks developed and released this kit originally in February '06. These kits have the same great features as our Spirit/Ace/Aero 750 lowering kits: easy installation, retention of your OEM shocks for a great ride, available for 1-1/2" of lowering in the rear, and is an easily reversible modification. CAD designed, CNC and lazer cut TIG welded steel components, and a durable black finish for long lasting performance. This design modifies the lever ratio of the shock, and has been done since the mid-70's by many manufacturers. We have literally thousands of kits in the field using exactly this technology, and have never had a single failure, so it's a time tested and proven method of safely lowering your bike. **NOTE** This kit is compatible with all VT-1100 SPIRIT motorcycles equipped with a DRUM-type rear brake (NOT rear disc brake!). It also works with all known other VT-1100 models that were equipped with a DRUM-type rear brake... This includes _some_ Ace/Shadow/Aero 1100's, but be sure to check your bike, as some models had a rear disc while others had a rear drum.
