Hey, been doing a lot of reading here, but haven't posted much.
I have a 2003 Shadow Spirit 750, I was installing new rear turn signals. I have bullet style, and was planning on mounting them on the rear grab rails, in place of the rear mounting bolt. The bolts that came with my new signals are not long enough to go completely through. They a hollow bolt for the wires to come through. Anyone know where I can get a longer bolt like this? I've checked the hardware store, but have had no luck.
Any suggestions appreciated!

You can also make a bracket with aluminum and mount between the fender and the fender support so the signals are under the support heres a pic of mine

scootworks sells the hollow bolts that are 10mm like the fender bolts and are standard thread for the bullet lights. I think they are $24.00 for the set. Don't buy the ones from kuryakin, they are 8mm and won't work on the fender strut bolts.

At $24.00 a set it's a little steep. But www.scootworks.com in their catalogue under Honda, and then lights and accessories you'll see the 10mm1.25 thread hollow bolts/studs listed there. They will work as a direct bolt up. You can fab a bracket as shown which works great and lots of people have done it. I had used the original brackets and washer to hold mine on while I used them. You can do something like that or the bracket to get flashers on again in a hurry.

I got the bullet lights and hooked them up. When I use the turn signals they blink but aren't they supose to stay on like the brake light?

Only the front signals stay on as marker lights. The rears only come on when you select your turn signal.

You need to test the wires to see which is running light and which is signal light. All you have to do is twist the wires, trying each, until you figure the colors out. Once you find the right combination, make sure you weave the wires end to end, sodder, and cover with shrink tubing. It's a great way to finish your wires, and looks clean.

I got my signal lights to burn all the time. The question now is this. The signal light indicator on the speedometer stays lit up all the time, can I fix it? Not a big deal. Just wondering if you guys have seen the same. Thanks, God bless.

if they are kuryakyn lights, give them a call. they have a diode kit that will correct the problem.

What did you do? There are only a couple of wires. What the hell. I have no idea what to do about that.

HELLO????????
It's even in the instructions from Kuryakyn. It's called "cross-talk" between the signals.
If they aren't Kuryakyns the diode kit should still work.

Try looking for a wiring diagram for the bike. There was one on here but the link is dead. Or get yourself a service manual, you really should have one anyway.
