I've gotta say, that would be sweet. It wasn't until a few months ago that I learned that metric choppers actually existed. If you go that route I wish you the best of luck and make sure you post pics so we can all see your progress.

Those Ard core frames are nice . The only problem is that the heads on our motors are U.G.L.Y. You would not want to much stretch in the down tubes .

What are you thinking the final cost would be? It definitely would be nice to have a little more room on the bike.

The frame with all the goodies 1250, rims tires 1000 ?, fenders. Maybe all in all a couple thousand. If anyone orders this choose the hd axle option and jack shaft so you can run a 250 tire on it :wink_2: I don't know if I going to do this, right now just dreaming

Remeber that you will still need to powder coat . The frames come raw . You will also need to fab and and mount tabs . It is not just an easy switch . If you do not have a welder and shop to make mounting brakets it could get costly . Those are a couple of the possible hidden costs .

Why not consider the rigid conversion available for the ss750 and a set of mortons raked trees.

I was considering that . If my wife had not gotten sick I would be doing that . How is Susan , she has been gone alot ?

They've been around for over 30 years.

I think all of that will be too much for me but the swing arm and triple trees are an idea:happy:

She's doing good. Niether of us has been on that much. I've been busy with the two jobs and trying to finish up the garage I'm building. She's been busy as hell with work and trying to help me.

I think all of that will be too much for me but the swing arm and triple trees are an idea:happy: I've done the hardtail - been toying with the morton idea for awhile - might be the next major investment. I got pics in the garage if ya want a closer look...........

How is the ride? is it pretty rough?

no rougher than struts. Rigid is rigid. The bolt -on kit is a lot cleaner looking and gives ya more flexiblity for any future wheel, fender, seat mods etc. My .02...................

I love the bolt on hardtail from Ardcore, but I want to go up to a 300 rear tire, so that is why I started looking onto the Pro Street frame, 2up 4out and 37deg. I think that is one sweet ride, wish it was mine.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/jmwalko/assembly/IMG_1866.jpg

hey, i think i get how a jack shaft works but could someone explain it so i know for sure?

MISpiritRider

It has two purposes I think...

The initial purpose is to swap drive sides, but you can run different sized sprockets too, for gear reduction...

Okshadow

it's setup so you engine can stay in the center of the frame so you can offset to run a huge tire like a 300, keeps motor on the center line of the frame.

MISpiritRider

Oh yeah, that too!
