How the hell do you put these on?

Hi everyone!
I just got a set of highway crash bars from Ebay for my 1997 Shadow Spirit VT 1100cc and have no clue where the bolts attach to the bike(on top)
Anybody put them on that can help?
Hope I didn,t get ripped off ......

But now I only have first and second gear......had to take clutch apart to get the screw all the way out .....to bolt the engine guard on....
Didn,t know I would mess up the clutch......it seemed to go back on the way it come off.

Do you mean the clutch cable? I can't believe a crashbar install would involve clutch work.

.....and performing clutch service/maintenance typically would not affect transmission operation unless internal components (ie - gear shift spindle A alignment with spindle B, the drum stopper, shift forks, ect) were damaged or not installed properly.

All is well........took bike down to local (Mike,s..one man show) bike shop.......alittle tighten there....alittle spray here....
Shifting fine now.......Thanks for the input!!
