Just moved to Maryland and am having trouble finding a shop to pass my bike for inspection, due to the mods. Any advise on shops?

I used to live in MD.
Only one suggestion, move somewhere else.
What an overbearing state, about EVERYTHING.
I was there for a couple of years, 15+ years ago, and that was a couple of years too much.
What it must be like now, I can not even imagine.

Let me call my brother, he is a certified inspector, but he lives in the sticks on the eastern shore.

I dont want to tell you that a particular shop will take it easy on you because I wouldnt want to put the owner in any sort of position, but maybe you should try boones automotive in deale maryland. Ask to talk to kent boone, and tell him that matt bender said he might do motorcycle inspections and you wanted to confirm it. Also just tell him what you have done to the bike and see if it will be worth your trip down there. Kent is an awesoe guy, he even came to my bachelor party.

Where does your brother live on Eastern shore? I live in VA, is even worse than MD. It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from here.

Maryland is strict on their inspection crap. Depending on your mods would it be possible to go back to stock to pass? then just convert back?

I dont know of any shops that are easy on m/c inspections.

(btw i tagged historic so i didnt have to worry about inspection, hehehe)

Yeah I am just below the Md state line here in VA, and inspection on this side is simple, headlights, turn signals, horn.... Get sticker. On your side it is an all day undertaking from what I understand, but it is one time, No? It is every year down here but like I say it has to be real crappy to get rejected in VA at least here on the shore. Not across the bay so much I am sure. My boss lives in Md. and has as many things tagged historic as are eligible.
