Ok guys. I???ve been reading these forums for about a year, looking at your bikes and daydreaming. I'm aware of the newb welcoming so lets Git-R-Done.
Ok now that we have that done I just got my first 750 SS. It is a 2002 with about 8000 miles on it. I have about $2800 invested so far. It has cobra drag pipes, has been lowered, and has forward controls. It has been setting for about a year and really needs allot of cleaning. Here's what I am looking to do soon. <O:p</O:p
First, clean it up of course. The guy used saddlebags and they dulled the paint on the back fender. The tank also has some light scratches on it from a bag of some kind so any information on paint restoration would be great. If I have to paint it then I will.<O:p</O:p
Second, I am looking for the chrome side cover for the right hand side. Not sure what they are called so I haven???t had any luck finding them. I also need the small covers for the cobra pipes. These have some rust on them.<O:p</O:p
Third, I am looking for the most reasonable place to pick up a side mount license plate with break light. I am also looking for the little small turn sig's for front and back. If there is a model number or brand you guys like please lead me to that as well.<O:p</O:p
And last, how soft should my front suspension be. I know this thing has been lowered. Not sure what technique was used. It rides good but sitting still it seems to travel a bit.
Thanks for the help guys. God bless.

A far as clean up I use Meguiar's for everything. They also sell a scratch remover polish you might try.
BTW welcome to the nuthouse. I am sure you will be hearing from the others soon. There are a bunch of bad ass bikes around here.

Those look great man, thanks allot. Can I also use those on the front, or will I need something different? By the way Menace I decided to just lay down some new paint on the ride. That way it will be everything I want it to be. I am interested in changing the front fender. I see some cool ones in the garage. They wrap around. Look great, where might a man find such a fender? Thanks for the help and God bless. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

For the front signals you need a 41mm mount to attach to the forks. The fender most people are using is the wcc diablo you can find them on ebay. There are alot of fenders you can use just check the distance between your forks to get the right width. For your side covers check ebay and post a wanted add in all the shadow forums.

You asked about the gator seat, I have one and love it. It's okay for longer rides but not all day non stop runs. All day poker runs with stops is fine, but those 100+ runs with one stop, ass starts to hurt a bit, but not bad.

Will the side covers off a 750 Shadow Ace fit the SS750? I know where two of those are at.

First of all I want to say thanks for all you???re help so far. This place is great. I ordered the side cover for the bike from the dealership. I have also baught the bullet turn signals from Ebay, item number 4573307164. If you guys could please advise on all hard ware I will need to install, thanks. The bike has two new tires, however they used the stick on weights to balance and between 45 and 60 there is a bounce in the front end. Before 45 and after 60 it smooths out. I figure it needs to be balanced. If you guys agree I will have that done soon and use the spoke weights for the Job. Please advice. All suggestions welcome and appreciated. Thanks and God bless.

It depends where you want to mount your rear sigs. You can use a fender washer and mount them where the stock ones were or you can drill a hole in the fender and mount it there. You can use hollow bolts and use the fender mount or make your owne brackets.Just depends on where you want them.
Tire bounce is probably from being out of balance.
