First off I would like to say this is a great forum!

I just got a 2002 SS750. I think the first thing I will do is the pipes. I like the look of the Cobra 2" drag pipes with slash cut. Any comments on the sound these pipes will give me?

Get burbs! They sound the best and you can make them any way you like. Check out my pics in the gargage section. You'll like them. My pipes are my favorite thing and my bike and they have an awesome bark to them!

I have the 2" drags on my ACE. They sound great. If you get them buy some of the coating for the inside of the pipes and use it before put them on. My pipes are trying to blue a little and I wish I had done this.

Cycle shack Chrome guard is what to get. I put it in my Burbs and I have over 1500 miles on them and no discoloration!!! I can't stand to see guys spend $$$$ on pipes and then they turn gold or blue on them!! Not good.

I've got an '02 750 with 2" Cobra Slash Cuts - no blueing, 4000 miles on it. I LOVE the sound and get alot of compliments.

Keep in mine, there's a set screw so you can remove the baffles if you want. Some people don't like the straight sound (too loud), but now that I pulled mine, they're never going back in!

Welcome and have fun!

Hey I agree I was looking at your Burbs and I love them!!! How does it sound compared to cobras. Is there a performance gain with these. How much do they cost.

Hey guy here's another noob with a question. I'm getting the Cobra's for my new 06 and I wanted to know if there's anything bad about putting them on without installing a jet kit right away? Thanks and really great forum!!

You will run lean without a jet kit . Lots o pops and long warm ups . A jet kit is very adviseable . I have Burbs and they sound deeper . They are 1 3/4 inch open pipes with torque cones and no baffles .I have considerd some baffles for a little more back pressure . They work best if you got a heavy wrist . Mine are in my garage pics .

Hey Sinister how much did those babies cost. And how long did they take to get??!!! How much louder are they than the holesaw mod. Those pipes look awesome. I need Pipes, intake, and a jet kit to get a little more umph out of my spirit. How is performance on yours once you upgrades.??

They are fucking loud at first . A little carbon and they mellow . I still wake the dead . 270 shipped plus 100 for tape and paint . I lose a little if I baby it , do to a lack of back pressure . When I get on it [ with proper jetting and the beans box mod ] about 50hp . Stock is 39 . My buddies stock ACE can't keep up .The top end is about the same . I just get there quicker . First is about the same but second jumps out from underneth you .Third and your doing 55 almost 60 . HOWEVER I have been thinking about installing baffles for back pressure .
