Here are some pics of my newly finished leather seat I made for my 88 1100. I'll follow with some pictures and explanation. It was a fun project and inspired by ShadowRiders.net forums. Thanks guys.

Oh ya, and since we're in the same town, in not-so-different-countries, I need a P-pad for my fender...

Thanks for the compliment.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might seal or finish the leather. I used silicone for leather but the finish is dull and seems a bit too porous.

Notice the trash in the background that I didn't take out.

There may be a psychological diagnosis for the constant need for fabrication/modification of motorcycles: obsessiomotomodphilia

The medication I've been taking for that hasn't worked very well. (I'll guess I better try another brand of Vodka.)

Some updates on the seat build.

I finished up the driver back rest receiver. I'm holding the removable backrest... it is not levitating.

I added the two set screws to tighten up the sides. I also re-tapped the mounting holes in the fender to a larger size to hold the modified bracket more stable.

I would like a way to run just the front seat as a solo but my fender looks like shit where the back seat is. Not only does it have the brake wiring harness exposed, it has ridges and indentation. I guess everyone uses a new fender to bob.

I really don't want to see pictures like that. My bike is in the barn on a dirt floor with no electricity.

I'm full of shit.

I tried to find the most obnoxiously clean, anal retentive garage that I could find on google.
My neighbors house looks like this, though. He enoys the piss out of me. my house is tweny years older and i have better things to do than to wax the garage floor.

I hope you get my humor.
