I put new tires on my Shadow today. All things considered, was pretty easy for a first-timer. HOWEVER, I notice that when I torqued the front axle down the speedometer housing locks down and no longer is free to rotate. Should it be loose to freewheel around the axle? I see there is a stop at the top of the wheel. I find it peculiar that it locks down in whatever position its in when proper torqe is acheived. The wheel spins fine, speedo works ok but can someone confirm this for me?
