saw that some of you had drilled out your exhausts on older model Aeros and Spirits. the 2 into 1 style exhausts. the other mod i saw was to cut the pipes off. went to another forum and found a guy who used the holesaw mod on his 2008 Aero so i figured i'd give that a try. bought a bi-metal holesaw today, drilled out the exhausts, pulled out the resonators with pliers and NOW WE'RE TALKING! it's ridiculously simple, just needed the 1 3/4 bi-metal holesaw, had to also buy the mandrel for a total cost of $23 and change. the actually drilling took about 5 minutes. i think the sound is great and i'll try to load the pics and videos a little later. i took the video with my phone so you'll need either quicktime or iTunes to open it. anyone looking for a simple mod that makes a big difference, this is the way to go. not planning to adjust the carbs at all and driving around after the drilling, my noticeable popping had gone away! that might just be wishful thinking but for now, no popping on decel or downshift.
