Here are the forward control parts I received.

I began on the brake side. Remove the footpeg bolts and footpeg. Remove the exhaust.

For this part, you may want to have a new cotter pin available, and I highly recommend using a pair of special “C” clip pliers. (I bought a nice pair at Farm & Fleet for about $11.)
Remove the two brake pedal springs. I removed the upper/small spring first that triggers the brake light.
Then remove the circular clip and washer that holds the pedal on the pivot pin.
Then, where the brake linkage rod connects to the brake pedal, remove the cotter pin from the engine side, and remove the bolt pin.
Then you should be able to slip the brake pedal off of the pivot pin.

Here is the pile of parts you should have just removed. They will all be reused.

Here is where the ScootMods black A-shaped piece slips onto the brake pedal pivot pin. The projections for the springs will go on the engine side.
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/05_Brake_Blank.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/05_Brake_Blank.jpg)
I don’t remember the exact order I did this in, but:
Install the washer and “C” clip back on the pivot pin.
Connect the brake linkage rod using the bolt pin and cotter pin.
Install the springs.
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/06_Brake_AShape.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/06_Brake_AShape.jpg)
Next, install the extension plate and brake pedal:
Install the ScootMods Z-shaped plate.
Install the brake pedal on the Z plate’s pivot pin.
Install the original brake pedal washer and bolt.
Adjust the extension rod on the A-shape depending on where you think you’ll want the pedal. I figured I was going to want this as short as possible to bring the pedal down and forward quite a bit. You’ll have to use your own judgment.
Connect the A-shape rod to the bottom hole on the brake pedal.
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/07_Brake_ZShape.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/07_Brake_ZShape.jpg)
Attach the footpeg to the Z-shaped plate. Adjust the upper “at rest” screw to also affect the angle of the brake pedal. IMPORTANT: After you’ve decided on the pedal angle, you will want to adjust the brake light switch so that it is off when the pedal is “at rest”, and comes on when either the brake pedal or brake lever are activated. The switch is what the upper/small black spring pulls on when the brake is activated. (Sorry, I don’t have a picture for this.)

Remove the lower plastic cover as shown in the picture. There are three mounting points. The lower right is just a push/pull connection. The lower left is an Allen screw and I’m not sure what size wrench you’ll need. If you don’t have one in your regular set of tools, check your Shadow toolkit behind the upper plastic cover (just below the seat; see pic). See the next step for the third connection point.

The pic below is looking down at the hitch pin holding the cover on. You may need a pair of needle nose pliers to pull this. There is also a washer that will fall off when you remove the cover. Watch for it.
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/10_Shift_Pin.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/10_Shift_Pin.jpg)
Detaching the shifter linkage rod. IMPORTANT: One end of the linkage rod has threads that go in the OPPOSITE direction from normal (I think it’s the sprocket end). This makes it possible to adjust the angle of the shifter pedal, as you’ll see later. Be sure you are attempting to loosen each nut in the correct direction.
IMPORTANT: I highly discourage you from trying to loosen the rod nut with just one wrench as you may compromise the structural integrity of the swivel head.
Roll back the rubber cuff that protects the swivel just enough to get a wrench on the square part. Use two wrenches to loosen the rod nut.
Repeat this process on the other end of the rod.
With both nuts loosened, twist the rod until it is completely disconnected at both ends.
Remove the nuts from the stock linkage rod and put them on the ScootMods extension rod. Remember, one nut will be threaded in the opposite direction. Screw them on all the way at first so they’re not in the way as you adjust the angle of the shifter pedal.
Remove the footpeg with the shift pedal attached. (no pic)
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/11_Shift_Sprocket.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/11_Shift_Sprocket.jpg)
Shown are the parts that will go on the bike.
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/12_Shift_Parts.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/12_Shift_Parts.jpg)
Attach the brake side extension plate as shown.
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/13_Shift_Plate.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/13_Shift_Plate.jpg)
Attach the footpeg to the extension plate.
http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/14_Shift_Footpeg.jpg (http://www.clickdock.com/img/ShadowFC/14_Shift_Footpeg.jpg)
Attaching the linkage rod:
Screw one end of the ScootMods linkage rod into either swivel head, but only enough to get it started. Otherwise, you’ll lose some of the range with which you can adjust the pedal angle.
Screw the other end of the rod into the other swivel head. Go ahead and keep turning the rod and you’ll see the pedal start to lower forward. Turn the rod back and it will raise backwards. (This is why one end of the rod has opposite threading. If they were threaded the same way, you would be screwing IN one end, while screwing OUT the other, and the pedal would never change its angle.)
Now, you will need to sit on the bike and figure out the shifter pedal angle that works best for you. Keep in mind whether you wear different footwear at different times.
Once you decide on the pedal angle, tighten both rod nuts (use two wrenches) and flip the rubber cuffs back in place.

Replace the side cover(s). (no pic)
Now…….RIDE!!!! (no pic)

craig, i am tall (6"1') it will let you extend your legs out to a lot more comfortable riding position you will love it. i bought mine fom them there are great. at the A shaped peice i put a little wheel bearing grease on the shaft to let the shifter move a little more freely that works out great. dude this needs to be your next mod ! purchase them from scootmods off of e bay in the memo tell them that you belong to shadow riders and your screen name and hopfully they can cut you a deal on shipping i know they will for us in the U.S. check out the e bay sight offered and you can look at the pic.s there. this is one you wont reget. well good luck.

Yes they do, I have them on my C2 and Aero .... I simply enjoy having my legs out front, much more comfortable for me. I'm not that tall 5'10" but have a 33" inseam so these are great for legs out riding, I hated having that knees up thing goin on. With my heel on the pegs I can pretty much ride with my legs straight out which is the most comfortable for me.

And lets not forget the great price

Do you have to take off the exhaust to install item on the pipes/brake side???

Going to order theses next week. Like the idea of moving my legs a few inches further forward

Post your pics in your gallery.
Does that question needed to be asked to revive a thread?

nice detail on the install...I had thought about adding those to my Aero, but I am only 5'7" so it might make the controls a bit of a stretch for me.

Yeah....I think I will be passing up the forward control extensions...If I really feel the need to stretch out when I am riding, I will just buy a Linbar or something.
