Just spoke to my family in Miami. They are all ok although they did not expect the storm to move south like it did.

All in all, a lot of damage to cars and homes but everyone is ok. I really feel for the people in LA. When the storm hit Miami it was a category 1. As of Sunday morning it was a category 5 (167 mph winds).

Hope all of you there stay safe.

When I left my house about 2 pm today they said winds were gusting to 215 MPH. That is just unbelievable. Best wishes and prayers go out to everybody in Katrinas path!

a touching story i heard on the radio.
there was this little girl they said looked maybe 2 1/2 to 3 years old.and she had a hand full of what appeared to be candy.well she was walking around and she
handed out one to every one that she could until she had one left and she ate that
one..................................
now that is just sweet.amagine a little child like that, that has no clue of what had just happened and still could sense that somthing was wrong and gave her candy
away to those that,to her prolly looked sad.And she gave probably the only thing
that she had left after the hurricanes path.
maybe the "grownups" could let the children help out.the children seem to have
a better heart and less greed then some so called "grownups".what a sweet little
angel.

That's a sweet story.
Children are smart.....If only we could all stay "un-tainted".
Hoping all your family and friends are well.

Thanks guys. Please keep the victims of this storm in your prayers as well as our Troops afar that have family in the affected area's.
My clan fared well. Some are still getting power from generators and the utilities are expected to be back up early next week. My little probs are nothing compared to what is happening to the kind folks on the coast.

Once again, please keep the victims in your prayers.

I'm attaching a photo from page 3 of the local paper that brought tears to a few here...
