1100 Muffler Cut-out

Does anyone know where I can find a cut-out picture of the muffler? I'm planning on gutting one and would like to see what's inside first to get an idea of what I'm dealing with.




I'm thinking if I cut it at the green spots then I should be able to pull everything out. WHat do you guys think? Trying to get info on these bikes is hell!

I finally found a site with exhaust mods for the 1100 Aeros and decided to post it here.

try shadowaero.com i look here every once in a while they have a lot of great info it is mainly for the 750 but there is some for 1100's. i did somthing simalar to mine they had the hole exhaust diagram there.

I already have it figured out. I'm getting a 3" or 3 1/2" pipe about 16" long. Gonna put it in the drill press and make about 30-40 holes in it, leaving about 3" with no holes on one end for the rear. Then I am welding 2 cut up steel funnels to it to direct all the exhaust through the pipe. I'll then wrap it in fiberglass and weld it inside the muffler can. Then it's off to get powdercoated.
