I bought my 06 SS in march of 07. I've been a member for a little over a month now. up untill my join date my bike was bone stock and trim. With the help of the search function and yalls pictures this is the first time i actually have to ask and or beg for help. so here goes. I was out for a cruise about a week ago doing about 85 on the interstate and all of a sudden (i guess a bolt rattled loose) My bean box fly's the fuck off.:madani: i mean O. F. F. off. I had to walk about a mile back to go get it. do you know how imbarrasing that is "I thought only harleys lost parts":laugh4: Anyway its all fucked up. I found a hypercharger on ebay for $75 bucks. I order that and the adapter kit. I guess my question is though i have a stage one cobra jet kit -(for the pipes) will i need to rejet again for the hypercharger.
Any info on this would be crazy helpfull. Thanks Again

I personally would. I believe it will run to lean if not. Besides you will not have the power you could have if you dont.

Oh and that is one bad ass ACE. (your avatar)

like to answer that one for you bro but i can`t say that i`ve personally done it yet.I done the same as you, bought h/c off e-bay,ordered jet kit and extra jets.I have everything lying on my tool box but can`t get the time to tear her down yet. It`s still pretty nice here so i`d rather get in a lil more riding than wrenchin, can do that when it`s cold. From what i read and help from other brothers on here you will only have to replace the main jets and not sure what your needle is set at,that may need to be changed too.134 front 138 rear on the jets.

As Far as the needles would just have to change the location of the clips or would i have to just go ahead and get a whole new jet kit?

Don't be too embarassed. I was leaving a big bike event (roughly about 150K people) and when I came out of my turn onto the highway I opened her up to show off a little. The back half of my exhaust flew off and got ran over. lol Now THAT was embarassing! I had to drive 20 miles back home with a hot exhaust sitting in my lap. Good luck with the hypercharger. Hope you manage to keep it on the bike.:crazy3:

man the exhaust bro. that sucks. luckly mine didnt get ran over, and i was able to make-shift it back on to get home.
I dont know the adapter that i got from thunder is pretty weird i havent opened it up yet to see how it attaches the hypercharger to the bike but i believe there will definatly be some threadlocker used.

Ok Noob, for the 30,000 time, you need to jet up to whats called "stage3", you can use your existing needles and add new main jet's, contact factory pro for the mains, as of last year they were 2 bucks apiece plus shipping....normally when you buy an intake system it's bike specific and comes with new mains, mounts adaptors, etc...you can search the key word "jets" and find a shit load ...now you can fuck off....

Thanks "mcvierh" that is exactly the infor i was looking for. i searched it out and seen that alot of the guys on here have rejeted up to a 134/138. i just wasnt sure if it was a "Need To" ... I'll just go ahead and order the Stage 3 and be done with it
anyway Thanks a bunch

where is your mounting bolt located?I`ve still got to put mine on but i was looking at it the other day and it has a bolt hole thru the adapter assembly that will fasten to the stock breather bracket.just for kicks and grins i pulled off the breather and stuck it on and tightened it up.Seemed to be pretty secure with the one bolt.Did you notice any difference in the performance of the bike?

yeah thats the same mounting hole that i used and it did seem sturdy. i was just curious is there was another way just due to past experiences.
As far as performance i did notice an increase on the top end but i think i need to make some fine tuning adjustments due to its a little doggy on the bottom end.
overall im pretty happy with it though
