Seat Question

Guys,

This may sound like a dumbass question, but bear with me...

I own a 98 Aero 1100 and when I bought it, it came with a Corbin dual touring seat on it and no factory. Morever, I've never been able to get an up close look at a bike like mine with a factory seat on it.

With that in mind, I'd like to try and find a single seat to fit my bike that doesn't cost an arm and leg (like a new Corbin). I've seen a few used factory seats for sale online am thinking about just buying a used factory front seat and riding around on that.

My question is: can I use just a factory front seat without the back? Or does it have some type of bracket I'd need to tie in with the rear seat to get it to attach to the bike properly?

As far as I know I'm using just the stock front seat

if you find one let me know. i have teh 750 aero and have been looking for a solo seat havn't been able to find one, i have just the front one on now, took seat off, two bolts under and pass seat if gone. i figure 1100 and 750 are about the same with this. but if i can 't find one this winter i am moding the stock one with a gel pack. but if you do find one let me know and i will do the same.

I have a stocker like ranger has on his bike if anyone is interested? It is just the front part,no pillar pad or rear section.say 25 bucks plus shipping.
