Well people I finally got her done, yeah it took a bit more than a couple of hours, in fact the wife and I spent about 5 hours hand rubbing the polish coat into the tins....put it all back together today and took her for a ride., OK,OK I know what you skeptics are gonna say but I'm here to tell you the truth and nothing but the truth....First let me say that the MPH has increased dramatically, I attribute this speed increase to the fact that the factory paint job adds a tremendous amount of drag, so my advice to you Noobs and skeptics is if you want more speed lose the factory paint job., Second, I believe that I gained at least another 6-10% in H.P., due to the decrease in friction, which again I'm attributing to the factory paint, I've saved the best for last, Third, I've noticed a definite increase in Size, Yes, you read right my Dick size increased approximately 3" in size due to this paint job....so if anything people I'd recommend painting your shit as soon as possible, just for the peter factor if nothing else6169

That's a hell of a job, and if you never said anything.........it'd have been impossible to tell that was a rattle can.
You did an awesome job. I really like the chameleon effect on the paint you chose, I'm sure that's helping with your mpg increase. Gas stations don't see you coming!
Your wife just hears you breathing hard.

I say again, excellent job! You have prompted me to save all the links as well as the specific info you've provided. Time to look into unstocking my stock bike.

I'm not sure if I need a 13 inch dick though. Haha!

It looks very good, but are you regretting leaving the flame job under the paint now that you went with the decals on the sides also? The different styles on top of each other seem to clash a bit.

Didn't even notice that till you mentioned it.

Still it looks good man, but I'm gonna have to call bullshit on the dick enlarger. I've painted my bike like 4 times now and if anything my dick's only getting smaller. WTF?

Thanks guys....Ok, ok...I'll admit that maybe It won't make ya grow quite so big, but what the fuck, your suppose to tell the 'ol lady that it'll make for another 2-3"s and maybe, just maybe she'll spring for the whole paint job...., and when it's all said and done, just look her in the eye and say "Baby, It makes me feel bigger".....

Ali, the old decals are of flames, I chose the pin stripe because of the lines and with the flip-flop paint and pin stripe you don't even see the flames except as "Ghost Flames"and only when you walk right up to the tank, most folks have to be shown the flames,...and thats because of the symmetry of pin-to-flame.....You'd almost think I gave the whole thing a bunch of thought!!!

I had read your write up on the paint job. I am truly impressed on the out come. I have painted a few of my jeeps using a HVLP gun and a make shift spray room, and i think you put out a product with a spray can as good as anything i have done.
Now go out and buy some real equipment and start charging your friends

lol

thanks Titanium......my real inspiration to do it was this guy called "TruBiker"....who got pissed when I wasn't even raggin on him when he did an airbrush job....and I said rattle cans rule...and he got so bent out of shape, I did the rattle can thing just to show that it could be done at a fraction of the cost of a "Professional" paint job....just takes longer for us back yard painter's on account of we have to make due with what we have, and if ones willing to take their time they can end up with a prime paint job....

It's great when you can do something like this yourself.... No matter what tools you use!!!

Did you keep receipts? Any idea of supplies cost as well as shipping charges?

The Pinstripe cost 39.00 shipped, the Mirage kit cost 26.00+ 16.00 for an extra can of part 2(thats the paint), by the way they only come in 8oz cans so I'd recommend getting 2 extra cause the more you use the better the effect, the Clear cost 5.99 a can, I used 2....total cost for the whole job...$93.00---if I did the math right.....
