Hey, just updated my avatar and some of the pics in my gallery, after getting my bike repainted from scratch and replacing the levers, forward controls, mirrors, side mount, and head light, I also added ssriders new LED run/brake/signal light under the rear fender, I may need to redo the positioning of it , you cant see it that well in the pics, but anyway here are the pics of the new paint after I got it all back together. Airbrush Addict did the paint originally, and after I laid it down, I had Vida Loca Customs from Bonham Texas do it in the same style, but they did it a little more subtle, and added some some sort of sparkles to the flames so they pop in the sun light from any angle, looks better in person of course, but here you go...

Yeah, they did a good job, There are a couple of small flaws that are hidden under the seat, bit they did an awesome job on the flames, and I had them paint a black half helmet match the bike. It's not something I would have dropped the coin on if insurance had not covered it, but I am glad I got it all back together again and looking better than before, Airbrush, your paint job was great, I got complimented on it all the time, so I made sure they knew I wanted to keep that same style and look.
Mcvierh, and others thanks for the compliements, I did not wreck that bad, went into a skid and could not recover and it went sideways and then layed over the other way hard, not sure how else to describe it, but it smashed the left side of the tank pretty good, so I had to get another one on ebay that was not dented as bas to be repaired and repainted with the fenders and helmet, then the other parts I was able to replace myself with all the same parts except the headlight, which I went with a cobra on that. Only problem is some of the wires show now between the tank and headlight but its not that big of a deal, I may get some black electrical tape to cover them better, some of splices in there for the after market turn signal mirrors I used blue electrical tape when they were hidden by the old headlight bucket, it did not matter, and I dont feel like cutting a hole in the new headlight bucket, plus its a pain to take it apart, that ring is in there to stay :)

i think they call that high siding it if im understanding your description right same thing would happen if you brake hard while in a hard turn. nice paint by the way would love to get my 95 VT1100C repainted someday with flames like that by the way how much did the hypercharger run you

Looks really good Chewy i know I said it before but I think you have one of the nicest/classiest bikes on the forum. I actually found your site before I even found Shadowriders. About that wiring issue, you can get a large shrink wrap sleave at walmart for a couple bucks and slide all that wiring through it, then its just a few quick passes with a butane flame and it will look cleaner than factory. Just a suggestion bro.

Thanks for the compliemnts, also thanks for the heat shrink idea, the problem is most of those wires and stuff are not something that is easily undone and redone to put a heat shrink around it, I got most of it underneath the tank, so some black electrical tape will hide the rest...

Sorry to hear you laid it down. But, on the bright side, you weren't seriously injured. Glad to see that the insurance paid off well enough to get her back into fighting shape. They did a kick ass job of matching the old paint scheme. If you hadn't said that you laid it down, I would not have known. Your bike is looking as sharp as ever!!
